This may end up as one of the worst off seasons and basketball season that we have had to endure for some time. I don’t see how UK and Pope can catch any of the elite teams. No way even with Stokes.
The only foreseeable way we salvage this offseason is the 5 for 5 rule is passed and every other major program has blown their NIL budget and we just rake in talent. Or we finally hit on some euros.
At this point, the only way Pope gets a commitment is by being the last D1 basketball program to offer a quality role in the lineup.
Lexington appears to be ground zero for basketball recruiting dysfunction at the moment.
At this point just do something. Sitting here with all these spots on our roster open and whiffing repeatedly.
