the top guys have about 10000 yards and 80 TDs, which means they generate a TD every 125 or so passing yards. our man makes a TD every 8 yards and still ends up ranked dead last.

We are only school breaking in new qb who wasn’t team starter or starting qb elsewhere last season. As opposed to last year OSU, Michigan, MN, Maryland schools that started off the year with new starters with no starting experience.
At least our top 2 guys have been in Lester's system for a while now
Hopefully we are 3-0 and our starting QB looks good and ready to go before hitting the road to Ann Arbor.

My thoughts are if Lester is comfortable with the 2 and didn’t feel the need to get a guy in the portal was all right with me. saved us $ by having to spend 7 figures again in the portal and used elsewhere.
but it is crazy how Iowa is 1 of 18 breaking in basically a new qb with no starting experience (minus brown’s 1-2 Auburn starts if he gets it). Why I’m not as disappointed about losing that qb recruit to KY. 5-10 years ago would’ve stung a lot more.
Lester told You who will be QB1 as We speak if You listened . listen to the part where He is talking about Brown reading/identifying coverages and going thru progressions, or lack of . That was the biggest tell of the entire interview.

last year we had as good or better OL, TE, RB, running QB. so if lester claims he has the guys NOW to run packages he could not last year, it must be based on the throws QBs are making and/or presence of 2 good receivers instead of just 1.
Gronowski wasn't truly healthy in game till the Nebraska game, You have to reel in the gameplan when the 3rd level is pretty much not happening and yes now Iowa has more WR weapons and have real multiple TE threats that were not present early last Year
Pretty cool that Ryan is still at IOWA while his dad is now at Michigan State.
