GREAT article about a great and personable player in our own Jake Mangum and a seemingly great baseball family in Pittsburgh but the way the story was written had me very confused and thinking this story could have been written much better to be able to follow.

Yes, Jake is a pro player now, for a pro based sport, for Pittsburgh. State doesn’t get a damn bit of anything from that outside our own circles. It’s awesome for Pittsburgh though. Hopefully he will donate, to football, so it can continue to pay the bills for baseball.
LOL!!

Exactly. Haven’t seen anything except locally about MSU player Jake Mangum. It’s Pittsburgh Pirate Jake Mangum.

Well, except for it being on ESPN, several national news stories, many national online articles and all over youtube, you are right.

The indoor practice facility at MSU is named after a baseball player. It would be interesting to see how much former baseball players contribute to MSU vs other sports. It might skew your short-sighted economics.

It's what happens when you don't run it through AI first. It was a convoluted, confusing read. Most everybody's writing these days is just pretty sucky.

Oh you’re absolutely trolling just like he did.
I actually believe the stuff I post about baseball being a Financial drain on the athletic department. The numbers don’t lie. If we don’t right the ship in football we are going to be in serious trouble. Things have changed from we could suck at it for decades and still hang around the big time. We have to put everything we can into football.
