Simply put, I don't know where to go with questions. Can't find an attorney who will answer questions for 2 minutes without having to pay them 2 grand I don't have. Came to the board out of despair. Let me know if you know how...thx in advance guys

There are SSI consultants out there better than attorneys. I have a few names that I need to look up to ensure they’re still reliable.

Why not make an appointment n go see somebody at SS and ask them. Doesn’t cost a dime
Are your questions about SS benefits (income, death benefits, etc) , or healthcare (Medicare, supplements, etc)? Big difference on where to go for answers.
I had SSI issues with my mother’s coverage and had a less than satisfactory experience at our local SSI office. However, the woman on their call-in line was excellent and was able to resolve the problem. She was as patient and concerned as the local guy was disinterested. I’d at least give their call center a chance to help before I paid an attorney.
Actually after a 2 hr wait on hold for Medicare benefits they told me social security answers those questions. That said anybody selling Medicare supplement can answer the question about Medicare etc
We need a bit more information in order to provide more specific guidance. Which of the following topics are related to your questions? It would help to know if you're already collecting SSI benefits and have some unusual issues.

The best advice is saying depending who you talk to changes the answer often...every situation is unique and the same question may have numerous answers. No advice can nor should be offered without the total story/situation.
