The old Bad Boys from Boston crank it up one more time. The young kid is ok, but it's the vintage Aerosmith sound that carries the song.

Corrosion of Conformity dropped their new double album Friday and released a new video. Another banger here, and the whole album is fantastic

New Jack White songs debuted on SNL--really love the tone on his guitar in the second song, which he used a lot on White Stripes songs. And the organ, yes!:

Like the new tunes, which is not surprising, as I've been a fan since the first White Stripes album. Funny thing is those were played in reverse order on the show, i.e., the "2nd" song was played first on the show. Jack White also had 2 brief but funny turns on the show, including playing the guitar on a short version of 7 Nation Army near the end of Jack Black's opening skit on SNL 5-time hosts, and doing a short but hilarious cameo during a country music skit (near the end of the 2nd video).

Favorite new song time. This one is from Briggite Calls Me Baby's second LP (can I still call it an LP?), a newish band formed in 2022 in Chicago, and it's called Slumber Party. It's a great mesh of 80s New Wave (the lead guy's voice is quite reminiscent of Morrissey, IMO) and current indie rock with the banging guitars and drums. Have a listen...

New from Suzi Quatro, who played Leather Tuscadero in Happy Days:

Also with Alice Cooper on remake of MC5's Kick Out the Jams:

Speaking of Suzi Q... impressive in her prime.

8 female rock stars who were total crush material in the '70s and '80s

8. Suzi Quatro

I’ve never been a country fan but my kids somehow are. It’s really grown on me and a family camping trip to stagecoach has been nothing short of amazing even if we did have a brief chaotic evacuation last night due to a wind storm that caused Journey to get canceled. There’s something for everyone in this lineup. The highlight for me so far was a guest appearance by Boys II Men with Cody Johnson and a guest duet by Theo Von with Ella Langley

New music from Quicksand from their upcoming album in July. They are labeled as "post-hardcore," a despicable label. Hardcore never stopped!
