If nothing else, we're going to have some more size on the court next season. Now we need another guard.

I just haven't adapted to the new system yet. Third school in three years doesn't fill me with the hope of watching him play and graduate in purple.

Drake is about a mile and a half from where I live and I usually get to a game or two a year, but I didn't get to one this year. So I didn't see Okku play myself. That said, I work with a woman who is a massive Drake fan with some connections to the program and has season tickets. FWIW, she said that Okku brings value, but plays a little bit softer than the Drake coaching staff wanted. His natural size and ability allows him to get blocks and some steals, but he wasn't really a tough player. On offense, he's more of a guy that will be there for offensive rebounds and can get easy baskets around the hoop, but he's a pretty poor shooter beyond 15 feet.

The offensive comments are pretty much what I expected, but the defensive comments left me a little disappointed. We really need him to be a guy that can play some minutes and be a presence inside on defense. His size and wing span will definitely be a positive, but I'm hoping the coaching staff can get some toughness and physicality out of him that apparently he didn't show too much of at Drake this year.

This is just one person's opinion, so take it with a grain of salt, but thought I'd pass it along.

Your comments and his stats are why i can't understand why folks are debating that he played as a 5 but should be a 4. Based on what? Size? If he can't shoot he can't play 4. Modern basketball does not live with both a 4 and a 5 that can't shoot.
