I don’t care if this kid sits around until spiders build webs around him. Move on already!!!
Ain’t NOBODY worth what he’s pulled.
Don’t give me the “kid has a right to make the best decision for himself sh..itt”. He DON’T care about an education, and he’ll make a bunch of money wherever he goes.

I still say give Billy G and Pope the exact same team and Billy G dog walks Pope. Billy G > Pope
LOL, Billy's 2 teams were more talented than Pope's 2.

Y'all keep trying though.

You can't say he would do better when he lost at home to VMI. Game over.

Coaches lose games. Cals in the HOF and lost to Saint Peter's in the first round. Losses happen. That's not game over.

First off before the game started Billy G would lock Pope in the toilet stall and wouldn't even have to coach against him.

LOL, Pope is 6'10" and you think BCG would do anything physically to him? Hilarious.

The proof is right there for you to look at. Billy had more talent both years, not debatable. He played much weaker schedules both years, not debatable, he lost the same amount of games, he lost at home to VMI, Gardner Webb and UAB. He lost to Vandy by 41 and Vandy didn't make the tournament, BCG also doesn't have a single win that would make it into Pope's top 10.

You literally have nothing to back up your claim.

Surely you know I'm just kind of playing. Once again this is a what's better type of debate...having diarrhea or having to vomit.

I just love agging on the legend of Billy G for how bad he was. It's like he was bad but at least he owned it. At least he just turned the bottle up and rolled with it and said what he had to say.

Pope is in hiding currently and has zero leadership qualities in any aspect.

The person closest to Stokes on UK’s staff says we have a slightly better than 50% chance. Also said that if it wasn’t for Pope, he would’ve signed with us 6mo ago.
This is BS because somebody on Pope’s staff wouldn’t have made the 6 mos comment.

I don't think it's about money, I think Pope is telling these kids something that is turning them off.
If he's telling them that they will he getting subbed out often, he's getting what he deserves and we can't help him. That's a stupid hill to die on and that's exactly what will happen.
Try telling Tyran Stokes that he’s coming out at the first TV timeout for Kam Williams because analytics something something.

Really don't want to add onto this argument but I can't help myself...
How is the talent not debatable? 2nd year BCG:
Michael Porter started 36/36 games
Perry Stevenson started 34/36
Ramon Harris started 28/36
Kevin Galloway started 5 games and was in and out of the lineup.
Try to steer from absolutes like that my friend cause the talent level is actually very much debateable.

That’s a crazy stat. It really captures the hopelessness of the BCG era and the frustration of the Pope era.
I mean, I can't think of a single win aside from Meeks' 54 point game at unranked Tennessee. Is tgere one I'm not thinking of?

Yeah, if Pope says that to Stokes, it's over.

I know Pope believes in his ideas, but if good recruits are consistently walking away due to Pope telling them he's going to rest them constantly and he doesn't understand why they aren't commiting, then he's an idiot.

I have to believe he knows by now that his sub patterns were a mistake, because he changed that during the NCAAT, but if he is bound and determined to go back to it, he might as well put his house up for sale now.

I’d bet dollars to donuts we’re seeing the same sub patterns next season regardless of roster. Of all the things that surprised me about MP it’s his stubbornness.

Why didn't you list Meeks and Partterson?

But wait, all the sudden, 2026/26 UK had good talent?

My, my, my, how fast the narrative changes when it can be used against Pope the other way. You guys are great.

Not only that, but the starting lineups were the very reason Gillespie was in over his head. He had Porter over Liggins plus lost Jasper and Legion from the prior year.

Likewise, Harris and Stevenson were backed up by Miller and Harrelson, who were much more talented. But it was a two-man team in the end and they were both very good.

Yeah, I can't believe anyone would try to say BCG's 2 teams weren't more talented. These guys allow their agenda to override their common sense.
