Two different types of players
Twins RF slows down and lets ball drop 3 feet in front of him to allow go ahead run to score

Buxton full speed into an all out head first dive to save runs and end inning

Shame about Lindor now getting hurt.

Team seems snakebitten !

Not a good thing but I think Mets will be able to do ok without Lindor as Bo will move to SS / Baty to 3b and they ll call up Mauricio and play him minimally vs righties at 2b.

Think Bo and Baty will hit better comfortable at their regular positions!

Lack of hitting / offense remains a significant concern !

over the last 2 weeks during the losing streak- Lindor was the only one hitting...

When you have a team pressing for runs you see stuff like that. I don't blame him especially with Pham as the next batter. People are going to force things more when things are going bad.

Hope Vientos got yelled at for this nonsense. WTF was he thinking?

Next time:

We know exactly what Vientos was thinking. He told us in the post game interview.

Vientos acknowledged that he didn't miss the sign. He just ignored it. In his words "I trusted my instincts". He repeated that phrase about three times. At no time did he acknowledge any error. In fact he threw in some crap about how he didn't want this to curtail his aggressiveness.

Wrong answer, big guy. The correct answer would have included words like sorry and it will never happen again.

Vientos publicly defied the coach's (and by extension, the manager's) authority, and seemed unconcerned about any possible ramifications. That is not a good sign.

Mendoza has to have a talk with him. He doesn't necessarily need to make it public, but Vientos's needs a talking to.

Vientos should have learned that his instincts aren't nearly as good as the instructions from the third-base coach. He was Charlie Brown at home.

He should also recognize he is slow. Maybe a step faster than Vogelbach! ;)

Good win tonight! Offense finally with a big night. Bichette and Benge good stuff tonight. Really good stuff. Scott nervy or something I'm not sure. Meyers was awesome. Williams got the W with a scare. He'll come around.

Freddy on the hill tonight. Could the Mets have a 3 game winning streak on the horizon? Dare to dream!
