Weak? lol.

McBride is the No. 49 power forward and the No. 185 overall player in the On3 Transfer Portal Industry Ranking. On3 ranks McBride as the No. 51 power forward and the No. 177 overall player in the transfer portal.
Where does it say McBride?

He could / should play an Ansley Almonor roll, in which case we’d be pretty happy to hear the news. Instead, by necessity, he’s going to wind up playing starter minutes, which will be completely unacceptable for a program and coach already on the brink of calamity.
He will play an Almonor type roll. No way will he be the starter. I see Kam the starting PF before this guy. But you do still want guys like this in the 9-10 spot on the roster.

It's a pay site

James Madison transfer forward Justin McBride arrived at Kentucky for his official visit on Wednesday and his time in Lexington will conclude later today. The 6-foot-7 junior was set to visit Louisville later today, but that trip has now been cancelled, a source told On3.

Sources say things are trending in the right direction for Mark Pope in this recruitment as UK is well-positioned.

Did y'all recruiting gurus checked where players ranked on the 25 Florida team prior to going to florida, or the 23 UConn team before getting to UConn thanks. We have moreno who was top 25 hs, hawthorne top 50 hs last year, Kam, top 50 portal he is loaded with potential and prior injury playing good ball, zoom/wilkins both top 45 portal, well add one or two good players id sey. This guy could be good. Sometimes ratings mean jack.

Same ol pope sucks, his recruiting blows. This guy on campus didn't get injuries half of the season either like freeman. We missed out on wright, freeman and rancik so far. If he lands one to two really good players id say we are pretty good. Hawthorne could be really good. Didn't play last year because of being too skinny.

I think he would be a starter. I think he is probably a better fit than Freeman, but obviously our ceiling as a team takes a nose dive.

To put McBride on the bench, we would probably have to get two of these SF/PF types like Momcilovic, Yessoufou, Muurinen, Joksimovic, or Stokes.

I don't see Hawthorne or Williams getting to start off the bat. Also, Kam's father said that he is going to be more of a 2/3 this year.

All of this is true. These numbers are reasonable for a backup PF. Let's give it a sec to see if he is indeed the backup or not. If we bring him in to start then yeah we are cooked.

So he’s gonna end up at St. John’s?

McBride isnt coming to be a backup. He was the staff's 3rd choice at PF , McBride will be a starter and he's good enough to do so. His only downside is 6'7 , can he defend and score against the tall front court lineups like Florida

I am old school; one that believes you can learn even when not speaking by listening. So I like reading all the comments to see how others feel about whatever the situation may be.

With that, I have no clue on which player is 5* or 3*; I go by what is mostly posted on RR.
Well, that was before the merger. Now it seems RR has much more negative comments than positive ones. Some of that is due to the current state of UK basketball and I get that. I am frustrated myself.

With that said, I used AI to answer me a simple question: Name players ranked outside the top 100 in the transfer portal that went on to be big factors in their teams success. This is what it said.

Chucky Hepburn. UL...#101
Alijah Martin Florida....129
Josh Jefferson Iowa St...131
John Tonge'. Wisconsin ....296

Who is ranking these players? Who is to say they are not wrong based on just these four players?

Seems we have many fans who think they know more than the so called experts. Maybe so but it sure seems you can not take these rankings as being set in stone as for as a players ability.

One thing that is for sure and that is the old RR had many good posters who would post information that was much more centered on fact and not outhouse speculation and opinion.

Maybe we need to wait until all the dust settles before we call it a failure.
