The president of the United States doesn’t even get $1 million a year retirement package.

In a time where we need every dollar possible to land top recruits, we’re paying dopey a fortune.

And don’t even get me started on UK topping it off giving him TEN season tickets. Unless these tickets are in the uppers, this is bullchit.
He doesn’t even have 10 people in the state that like him. Completely unnecessary gifts! Are we scared he’s going to speak poorly of the university?

Hey UK, next time you want to send me a letter asking for donations, I’ll be sure to reminisce on the days you happily give it away to people who clearly don’t need it or deserve it.

Hopefully Andy's message shakes this up and brings major awareness. This is some bullsh*t.
Why did it take this long to make that statement? Why didn't he jump in and say he didn't like the way football was handled in the past?

It wasn't about wasted funds until now. Capaluto and Mitch have totally mishandled a lot of money and are being extremely careless. This is different than watching a bad coach lose games.

I know some of the UK faculty.

Ethics complaints have been filed against Eli. Mitch is named in them, but I don't "think" separate complaints were filed against him. Not sure on that.

The faculty's feeling is that UK administration isn't taking them seriously, so they reached out to Beshear and the media about it.

Most media are afraid to go after UK, but I was encouraged to see Andy do so. Maybe it will open the doors to a legit investigation.

Mitch is a side issue here. He made a statement because the University changed policy and put a staunch Republican judge into the dean of the law school position, when he and several powerful lawyers in the state wanted a Democrat appointed. Anybody that doesn't see this as pure politics is misreading the situation.

The dean who was selected against the recommendation of the faculty does not have the qualifications to be the dean of an accredited law school. Sound familiar?

This is most likely true.

You’re right, only bball relies on sound business decisions at the admin level - football only succeeds based on the coach. Thank goodness Will Stein decided to coach here and will erase years of football misery.
