Alabama and Georgia fans are no doubt taking notice of what Will Stein is doing on the recruiting trail. We are doing so well in football because it appears all the stars aligned for UK to get what may become an elite level coach in that sport. But the exact opposite is happening on the basketball side of the house. We are getting mid-major results because we have a mid-major level coach. Mark Pope has zero business at a Blue Blood program like UK. He just isn't cut out for it. Either you are an elite coach or you aren't. They can't take it out of you and they can't put it in you! Mark Pope is what he is. He's not going to suddenly become competent as a coach or a recruiter. He is what he is. And what he is isn't much to right home about. That isn't being negative, that is just reality. Anyone out there that still has any faith in Mark Pope having success at this level is simply living in a dream world.
