Firstly, the leader of Iran is not an ayatollah, ayatollah is a religious position not a state position. Either Fox uses this term because they are dumb or because they think their audience is.

Secondly, this is why killing the Ayatollah was never a good plan if you wanted to make a deal, it was only the plan if you wanted a failed state. Now we are trying to make deals with warlords and no controlling force, we are dealing with a group of military men with apparently no leader instead of a religious leader that actually had control of the country.

There's a Civil War amongst their leadership right now. Eventually the Regular Military could possibly overthrow the IRGC. Who was loyal to the Ayatollah who was actually the Leader of this Death Cult before getting the **** bombed out of him. He was the ******* who constantly yelled Death to America. Like you do while attempting to use tact.

National Divorce. Death to America. Same stupid *** talking points.

Tell me you know very little about Iran without telling me you know anything about Iran.

The President of Iran ran the executive functioning of the Govt, but took his marching orders from the Ayatollah. The IRGC, Quds, et.al roll up to the Ayatollah, not the President.

Taking out the Ayatollah was the move required to even get Iran to the negotiating table. If he was alive, he would’ve sacrificed everyone in that country if needed.

The internal fight in Iran is happening between the moderates within the Govt and the Ayatollah’s religious shadow Govt and hardliners.

Iran was already at the negotiating table multiple times.

Talks first started in April 2025.
Iran-US talks made 'some but not conclusive progress,' mediator Oman says | AP News
They broke down, and in June 2025 the US struck Iran's nuclear facilities.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/releases...ated-and-suggestions-otherwise-are-fake-news/

This year talks restarted in February 2026 in Geneva. On February 26, the Omani mediator said there was "significant progress" and both sides planned technical talks the next week in Vienna.

Two days later, on February 28, the strikes hit, the Ayatollah was killed, and the current war started.

Every time we get close to a deal with someone who can actually make it stick, they get blown up.

From my understanding: Taking out the previous leader left a power vacuum that has mostly been filled by IRGC generals. We are now dealing with the more hardline and less pragmatic group.

Are you saying negotiations are going better now with a decentralized group of IRGC generals than they were with the old Supreme Leader Khamenei?

Are the IRGC generals (who have way more control now than before) the moderates? Has the president had more of a say now than before?

There's nobody with any real power there that plans on honoring any deal unless the people rise up or the regular military turns on the IRGC to save the people from that Death Cult. Now go grab a snickers while that pressure continues to build on the sane people to take control of the situation.

The Democrats can't stop rooting for the IRGC.

BREAKING: Democrats War Powers Resolution to block President Trump's actions in Iran has FAILED AGAIN for the *5TH TIME* in the Senate The motion to move forward fails 46-51 Lmao, why do they keep putting this to a vote? It's pathetic
🤣
Trump is actively working to make a FINAL DEAL, Dems, so we DON'T have to stay at war
🤡
Maybe they should try rooting for our country to SUCCEED instead of constantly expressing their TDS.

WOW! Meet our new Acting Secretary of the US Navy, HUNG CAO — who fled Communist Vietnam "Don’t come to this country and ask for the American DREAM if you’re not willing to obey the American LAWS and embrace the American CULTURE!" "We came to this country with NOTHING. We asked nothing from this country...together, we will make America great again!" PATRIOT.

I'd recommend the Regular Iranian Army get busy and fast.
