I wouldn't mind going for two really good players, but there are not many. The Iowa State and Baylor guy are pretty much it.
If he truly wants to be The Man it would make a weird kind of sense for him to come here given our roster. If he's the Alpha they say he is he will probably eat our coach alive and do as he pleases. For all those people saying he wouldn't come because of our coach? I disagree. I don't think this kid is coming to college to be " coached" I think he's coming to make a bunch of money and promote himself for the eventual jump to the NBA. He will go where he believes will benefit HIM the most.
UK has NEVER offered any player $4-$5 million dollars a piece, and that’s precisely the reason Pope has never landed a single star player!
Everyone wants to throw around how much $$$ UK has, but to this very day, they are the only high major program that has not signed an “elite” player! Not. A. Single. Damn. One.

The boosters almost have no choice but to fund football, with a new coach and how the Stoops drama played out, but they are not funding Pope, and that’s self evident, if there ever was such a thing.

Apparently Stokes is upset that Oregon and KU won't cough up a matching offer of 30 million by Kentucky, though he begrudgingly admitted he would accept 5 million from Oregon or KU if it absolutely came down to it.

Why does anyone care if they make a prediction and get it right? Why do people want to make predictions and hope to get them right? It’s not like you win $1 million if you guess right. I just don’t understand what Mitch was thinking when he hired BCG or Pope. BCG was single and an alcoholic, which is a horrible combination to have for a college basketball coach. Then he hired Pope that’s never won a conference tournament or conference regular season title. Wasn’t a good recruiter at BYU. I just don’t get it.
