I’m sure he’s just speaking on the incoming transfers and the roster. Most good coaches do this after signing day, keeps the fans informed.
He’s not leaving this year with them being the nations best team

He seems to have a bit of a petty side to his personality with the way he left his starters in to run up the score against coaches he felt slighted by a couple of times this year, so I absolutely think he knows about the NBA rumors and the optics of this. It’s probably just going to be talking about his players coming back, or if there’s a surprise, an extension at Florida at the absolute most. Highly unlikely to already be announcing that he’s leaving for Golden State when Kerr isn’t even officially out yet.
Hopefully he is leaving and then we can go whiff on our next 4 and 5 from them.

I do find it funny some of our fans don’t like him bc he was a big meanie and said some things. Maybe ran the score up on teams. Would think we want a guy like that who has some dog in him.
Count me as one who hopes he does leave bc he’s gonna continue to kill it at UF. I’m not entirely convinced Donovan has any interest in dealing with all the college BS nowadays. Even if he’s does I’m not sure he would do that well this time around. Def think he could be a step down overall from Golden.

Golden was always going the NBA path he’s young, arrogant and the hot name. He has the Gators in all the conversations and has pretty much his whole team returning minus RC
Just those that aren't in hiding...er, working really hard.
My brother's girlfriend is really close to Golden's sister, and she says that Golden is gone as soon as an NBA team calls him.
If only I could get my wife to believe this as much as I believe you when you say it!
Just to note, if Golden leaves all Gators are free agents for 30 days (i think that timing is correct).

I know the accusations about Golden at UF--not all the details I am sure. My understanding is that it was thoroughly investigated by an independent third party and nothing came of it.
I will admit that I have not delved into all of the intricacies. If there is something that has been proven, please let me know.
Me saying he is an excellent coach and has that drive that many of the elite coaches possess really has nothing to do with me remarking about the guys personal life or overall character bc I (nor you) really have any idea there.
Evidently, UF decided it was not a big enough deal to worry about in a time of constant litigation. Also, based on reports, it seems Golden State--arguably one of the best jobs in the NBA-- is also unconcerned.
But really neither you nor I have any idea. Honestly, I couldn't really care less, as its a moot point anyway he will never coach at UK. I am just saying the guy is a good coach.
Just means he has not been offered an NBA job yet (particularly the Golden State one). His plans are to stay at UF because he does not have an alternative in the Pros ... yet. Bye, Todd. Have fun with Draymond (assuming he exercises his '26 - '27 player option).
He would probably get paid more in college. Same goes for a lot of players. There really is no need for the NBA anymore.
Why would he? He would never improve on what he did there the last time. So what's the point of potentially ruining his legacy at Florida?
