Would you take Tounde Yessoufou Over Stokes?

I know he does have a Do Not Contact Tag and is entering the NBA Draft. Which he may stay.

But this guy would be a heck of a SG for UK. 17.8 points and 5.9 rebounds is what he averaged at Baylor at 6'5.

If he does enter the portal (Highly Doubt Pope gets him), but if he had a chance, would you give him Stoke's Bag and maybe get one more, like Graves or Milan Momcilovic?

Stokes could put up better stats potentially if he is like abunsta or boozer ... flagg type.. doubt it..... but even if he does, you still have the freshman slip ups to take into account and the weight of experience over freshman.

Pairing him with 2 guards who are ball dominant drivers, weak outside shooters, gives us something that looks like one of Cal's more frustrating squads. I agree with this assessment. However, we need guys. Stokes is more of a 3, and Yessou is more of a 2. But if we can solve the 4 problem and get Milan/Graves with Yessou, you take the double package I think.

If given the choice, it's Stokes all day every day. He is more skilled, better passer, more physical, and I think (hope) better shooter.
Now, if the question would you take Yesoufu over "waiting for Stokes", that is a different question, and I'd probably say yes to TY on that one. Even though I don't like the idea of adding a 29% volume 3pt shooter to our 30% and 32% ones (Zoom & Wilkins).

But I think someone else hit on what I might focus on, getting Graves & Momcilovic & some 40% 3pt shooting guard.

I don't think it really matters because I don't think we are getting Stokes. I got told the Thursday night before the portal opened that he was going to Kansas. A lot has happened since then so I'm not sure what will happen, but I just keep thinking he's probably going to Kansas and I won't be surprised. Yessoufou is from California, and I am not confident in West Coast guys working out here. Hell Calipari wasn't very successful with recruiting West Coast guys. My guess is neither.
