All this stuff with Mitch and Eli and now Beshear getting involved.. there's really no telling what might happen. If there's a time and a chance to fix UK Basketball.. it's now, and there's a golden opportunity with Billy Donovan being out of a job, RIGHT when we need a new coach. I have to imagine some of the big players within the program (Donors, business owners, etc), are thinking the exact same thing. Heck, the new AD may want to swing for the fences on Billy D, maybe even Eli too, to save his own ***.
The main point is: Kentucky is being presented with a heck of an opportunity here. Let's not mess it up. Doesn't mean Donovan will come here, but make him say "no".

Best thing UK can do, is talk to Billy through back channels to see if adeal can be reached.
That needs to happen before we look like fools taking a leap of faith… again.

I created a thread asking who the Pope fans are, after 6 pages, 2 guys, who rarely post, said they were Pope fans.
They say their not, but they are. I have a close friend that doesn’t want to admit he’s a pope fan. I understand why people like pope and dislike him. I don’t judge for either, I joke about it sometimes but I don’t care lol

I'm no Pope fan, I'm handling this differently. I'm just letting it play out, because there is nothing I can do and I know, it's ALL on Pope's shoulders. He has to figure this out and if he doesn't, he's gone and I will be right there helping him pack his bags.
There are more people taking this stance, than any other.
Pope deserves critisism, but he doesn't deserve the vile hate he's been getting. Some of these guys act like Pope ended up in the CBI both years.

I said he would've came before they offered Pope. And that came from someone in his inner circle.

Hire him immediately and give Mark the chance to be an assistant if agreeable to Billy, but get it done now while we have a chance completing a roster. Do it Mitch and make up for your ridiculous recent blunders with Cal, Stoops and Pope.
