How dare Providence take a top player from another Big East team. We know their fans don't like that one bit. Maybe Cooley is going to the DC jails to recruit a power forward to send out some tough love when they play next season.

Not the first time Providence has ever taken a transfer from Georgetown.

Providence with their fans donating now have SJU/UConn money. They will be a top tier Big East team in this new era of college basketball.
Their fans definitely donate more

Friartown baby

But do you think their school kicks in more from a rev share side too?

Providence now has 10 players. This school realizes that if they invest in their basketball program, they will be rewarded by the trust that their fans to take a vested interest in supporting the school monetarily. Providence is looking to the future and not acting greedy.

Maybe, but when the fans are picking up the tab, there’s less of need for them to do so. Also do not forget they have to spend a LOT on hockey, which is probably where the school throws a greater share of revenue to, since there’s much less donor support for that sport. Having 2,000 for a hockey game on campus is a lot less than 12,000 at the AMP.

Guarantee they put more into the pot than we do even from a % stand point

This! Bravo! Why do you think I keep calling out the athletic administrators and the Board of Regents. There is no plan that I can see. Loyal supporters claiming the fans need to give more in order to succeed is a terrible plan.

I don’t know why people continue to post they don’t have a plan, or clueless or can’t figure it out?

What’s impressive about Providence and I guess even Villanova to a certain degree is that they get a great sum of donations from a large amount of donors. It’s not all about one guy like Repole.

That’s the big problem for SHU; the % of alum who are donating has to be embarrassingly bad compared to PC and Nova. Combine that with no Big Fish alum donors, and our struggle to keep up with the Joneses is painfully evident.

Does anyone really know if the R-word is responsible for SJU's entire NIL? I've seen articles of them having multiple collectives and corporate sponsorships of different types, including the R-word's current business adventure (No Bull), all of which are advertising within MSG during games and outside MSG if you've walked around midtown this fall/winter (pictures of Zuby advertising products on billboards in Times Square, and stuff like that).

Also have read that Nova has a bunch of "whales" who donate big time to the school and basketball program specifically. Same with Providence. I just think they aren't known by name on a board like this for some reason.

Yes, and their head coach got fired after they apparently misspent/chose poorly using the hefty $12 million on a team that sucked wind! Or their sails lost some wind during the season! 😂
