its a cautionary tale of coming back to your alma mater...SF certainly had his faults, and they've been highlighted numerous times on this board and elsewhere. Its sad in a way that he will likely never be welcome back to a place that he helped win Nebraska's last (and probably final during my lifetime) natty...not making excuses for him as he earned whatever criticisms he gets

Honestly, the best thing for Scott Frost would be to fail in his second stint at UCF. Maybe that will help him figure out how to hold himself accountable, since 2 years away from coaching apparently didn't work. Strange how the results at the "right" job in 2025 were very similar to those at the "wrong" job from 2018-2022.

Coach Frost is an entitled selfish unaware child. Right from the jump- taking women not his wife on the boat in partyville Ashland lakes. From a former player- he wasnt showing up on time to practice- a number of times. The topper- not shaving, dressed like a slob and having nothing prepared for his big 10 media days- it was obvious he had given up and was just taking unearned money. Nearly everything has been served to him on a platter since he was a kid- he just has never grown up and will never admit the job was just WAY too big for him. Hes dead to me. Was willing to forgive and forget- but not for the unrepentant.

Why?

Why is that best "best thing for him". By all accounts (the real ones, not the fake ones) he is enjoying his life, he is super rich and set forever.

Bro, that is a pro...not a con.

There is a reason you buy a boat...and it is not to take your wife and married friends out on the lake.

That wasnt how I meant "taking"- several credible people I know heard or saw the nonsense SF had going on while here in Lincoln AND it started early. . He wasnt a grown up in any sense of the word.

Ehhhh, I have a hard time believing any of those stories...

Riley sucked here (for the most part) and Rhule sucks here. Frost really sucked here. By all accounts, Riley and Rhule are super great guys, hard working and super professional.

More than likely, all 3 are just lame at coaching and not horrible cheating husbands (that doesn't even matter), hard core drinkers (also don't matter) and addicted to golf.

It's not sad at all. The guy is narcissistic, arrogant prick. The guy had his chance and he blew it. Believe me, karma hasn't even caught up to him yet. When it does, I will laugh and laugh cause that's the only thing he has earned.

I hope he fails at everything he does.

The sad fact is had he not drank and partied, and had he worked his a$s off at rebuilding the program, he had a chance to become a super hero in this State. He would have been the toast of the town and gotten super fat raises. But his demons got him and he missed a chance at greatness. Hard to watch such self-destruction.

Agree wholeheartedly. He absolutely was chasing and getting women not his wife and spending his valuable time and reputation doing so. Bartender at local spot said I was sitting in spot SF always sat at. Sushi place in Haymarket where bartender said he drank Magaritas and Long Islands- shared several stories- seemed credible. Its not a flex- its a gaping weakness not to be able to see the big picture and just keep it zipped up and sober.. lack of self-control and discipline. Young wife and kids at home- which they DID move out. A very trusted and very credible acquaintance and former starting player told me he was there when the moving van was being loaded- former player was at the home on unrelated business.

Nebraska is a difficult place to win.
He didn’t steal anything. He was handed a boatload of cash and accepted it.
When you put very very little effort into a job, show up late. Dont represent at Big10 Media days, blow off recruits because you're drunk- thats kinda stealing. Getting money and NOT doing what youre supposed to do- even minimally. I view it as grifting- which is a more sophisticated form of theft.

Yes, the most famous/recognizable man in the state, one so fiercely private that he refused to talk about his family or private life, refused to answer questions about them...refused to do pretty much any public appearance...

Was also a "local" at a sushi bar place...5 minutes from the stadium. And yet, not one picture has ever surfaced of him being out in public at any bar and/or golf course.

The only people that tell more stories about "what you want to hear" than bartenders...are strippers.
