This is just ridiculous!!!! I played sports for the fun of it as well as the challenge. Our society is truly going into the tank.
If you read the article it is legislation to prevent NIL athletes from participating in OHSAA games which is the overarching power in Ohio high school athletics.

I texted this article to my high school head coach - who is still coaching in Ohio in his 70s - and asked him how many NIL athletes he has.

His response: 0 😂

They don't have to.
The OHSAA profits off of their injury risk. They get the entire gate revenues from playoff games IIRC.

Some private schools are giving “scholarships” for talented athletes, but not all.

This could be a very interesting debate.
