UK should offer $12 million per year. 20 to 25 million NIL package and hire a GM of Billy's choice to help with recruiting. The $12 million per year is negotiable up to $15 mill per year if needed. Instant credibility back.

Uh, no. He’s out and isn’t doing **** before he’s gone. When Mark is fired after next season, we will see what happens. If Mitch is replaced by anyone he recommends, we are still in a bad place so doesn’t matter. The **** cycle could continue for another decade.
Really it was just super wishful thinking on my part.... I just wish all the boosters would come together and push for this to happen sooner rather than later... Then again it isn't their mess to clean up either.... I do have a really bad feeling about Mitch's replacement I feel it's going to be one of his recommendations.

It’s cutthroat. But if letting Pope go and hiring Donovan right now means we get Stokes, maybe Graves? And others. I’m all in. But there just isn’t anybody at UK with that type of pull or vision that could get that done.
I think the achievable win would be as AD. That way Donovan can sunset his career here without pounding the recruiting trail- which he didn’t love- its been noted. And we don’t railroad Pope (neg optics). It seems like it could work.
He did well with OKC and was a few minutes from going to the finals.
It wouldn’t be this year. Donovan if he accepted a college job this year would be scrambling to get players and a staff together and the whole timing wouldn’t make sense. If he wants college it would be next year, which obviously would work better for us having a new AD in place as well
