Since you all play each other which is great by the way. What are the predictions of how you guys are going to do against each other. Who feels confident about going 3-0?

Should be fun, I know 3 of the 4 are definitely breaking one in. Who knows about the 4th.
Get two different teams by time all games are played. First two in county and then close season with one more. Wish they could shift some of those to end of season. Would gladly play NoGa and Forestview to start and end with Burns, Shelby and KM.
I believe most of us are smart enough not to give bulletin board material this early. I would wager that all the county teams are confident but CC fans know that anything can happen in county matchups. CC games are intense and playing county games back to back early in the season isn’t for the weak.
Agree with all perspectives on the question. The teams we all see in the first two weeks will not be the same come playoff time. If all 4 of us are healthy the state better watch out. CC has 4 teams with the ability to make history. Those first two games will be brutal and impossible to predict. I believe this is the first time in a long time that all 4 teams will break in new QB's.
I am very interested to see how those first 2 weeks shake out. Definitely could see it going a few ways. Should be a fun year for a lot of local teams. Speaking for 3A/4A, I know there is a chance that the 2 best teams in the west in both classifications could come from our conference. Also I know that 2 of the best teams in 5A/6A west could come from Crest/KM conference. Should be a lot of fun.
We could take a lump or two again, but I FULLY expect us to be there at the end again.... Defense should be very good, and the offense has tons of production returning, just gotta be able to get em the ball.... First time with a new QB in 3 seasons, but we know how to make a QB, its like Novocaine, give it time it always works

Well he wasn't interested in playing Cherryville, Bessemer City, Cleveland Mall Academy... Why take a 3A ring when you can actually compete for a 5A ring?

Nah just the facts. Lions go further down the list when I count Weddington and Ashbrook. We all know where Crest falls on the 3A champs list of teams though.

This type of entertainment is getting me through the dull days until football starts. I don’t think very many 5A teams would have wanted to play Shelby at the end of the year, and I don’t think many teams in the entire state would have wanted to play Crest at the end of last year. Great seasons by both.
To be fair it is the offseason and this is just what Crest and Shelby fans do. You don't shy away from Crest playing way better teams in way bigger games my friend. Shelby playing 3a ball is the only way they won a ring. That's not disrespectful it's simply fact. You know it too.
That ring might as well have came out of a crackerjack box. It's ours anyway.
Also, you are correct. Crest could do much better on the banquet end of things. Quite pitiful in retrospect. But I'm just thankful we don't have to crap in a prison toilet on the home side anymore. We don't have that Shelby money for nice fancy things all that often. So it was fancy banquet or toilet stalls with doors...
