Transfer portal still has a day of people entering. Maybe something there. Pope won't get fired before season regardless, beg and wish all y'all want. What happens if they hire a coach and he ends up doing worse than pope though? I mean y'all guys who say fire him aren't thinking worst case scenarios. What if the coaches you want won't come here and you take a chance on an up and comer and it don't pan out. I'm fine if we get Freeman or we can try our luck to see who's in portal tomorrow or international route. He should have got a gm, he is stubborn and has done things I do get the frustration even though I try to be pro the coach.

While it was probably no one's choice the decision was made to hire a coach who had never won a tournament game and who's highest ranked recruit was Collin Chandler.
To think there would not be some real bumps along the road and a likely steep learning curve is situationally absurd.
Through that lens the first season was an A and last a D due to regression. A third year is the minimum. There is little choice but to at least let that play out.
We will have to be a bit more patient with coaches now, being Kentucky or Kansas or North Carolina is no longer the advantage it used to be and we will probably have to jewel guys up some and we will struggle mightily to get anyone if they think if they don't have a final four in the first two years that they will be on the scra0heap and largely done in the profession.

You’re right, we sure don’t want him back here. He 100% should’ve went somewhere his freshman year to redshirt and stay in the weight room. Of course he didn’t and we got a guy who wasn’t close to SEC LEVEL toughness or readiness. Hasn’t added great weight since and doesn’t look like he’s improved much either. Had a great game against Kentucky and that’s about it. We need some muscle and toughness. I have no clue what the staff is doing, he could be somewhere down the list.
