Well since the unqualified guy is still the head coach. BBN has to cope. We aren't winning anything. That's facts. We might miss the tournament but we had to give him this third year because he won a championship in 1996 as the glue guy. UK is still a joke .
With who we have pursued in the portal Iād agree. Pope hasnāt cast a very wide net for top portal players. Maybe Pope really is limited to about 14 million this year. If so the boosters have spoken. Tennessee spent 10 last year with 6 on one player and made the elite 8 and finished top half of the conference. Pope pays players from teams that had losing records a premium. We are cooked.

He's terrible not that it matters at this point. Maybe we can play in the OVC next year.
Barnes has a hard time with UK. But they certainly finished higher than us in conference and made the E8ā¦again. We havenāt made the E8 in a million years.

Definitely false. He was disappointing considering his ranking but far from our worst.
Last season he averaged 18.2 points and 9 rebounds per 40 minutes. That's a pretty solid pickup for a backup Center.
Per 40? That's a fake stat though, because if he played 40 mpg, he would never average those numbers.
He just played at Memphis, in a mid major conference and averaged 8.6/4.2/0.6. I mean, he's not good.
Those are solid numbers for 18.9 minutes a game. Who is a realistic get as a backup with better per 40 numbers against equal or better competition? It is a lot better than what BG gave us last season.

Cannot disagree. Decent PER 40 numbers.
PER 40 is not absolute, but it is a solid metric to use as a legit comparative tool in evaluations.
If we can't land anyone else in the front court then we will be losing a lot of games. If we got someone even like Bradshaw who could do some defense and rebounding it is a better option than none at all.
