Should've took the guy who was ready to commit in Rancik and the healthier option. Well with the money we have left over and us probably not landing Stokes, you should throw the bag at Milan Momcilovic if he comes back to college.

Freeman is the #15 ranked guy, Rancik is 100. I totally get why Pope wantes Freeman but he should have been damn sure he was going to land him.
Definitely sign Gabe Dynes but take the Auburn or FAU GUY before McBride . Mo D is another option too.

I wonder if CMP realizes that’s it for him? Losing Freeman AND Rancik wasn’t an option and now he’s looking at not having either and an SEC that’ll be much tougher this next year. Even with Freeman, we weren’t exactly sitting pretty.

Agree and Freeman has elite talent but his injury issues over the past 2 years was not great. Rolling the dice on him was a gamble in itself. What's really disheartening is we lost Rancik chasing Freeman and now we have nada.
We also lost another guy to Cal while we messed with Wright. Not piling on but it's a terrible look for us to keep getting stood up at the altar.
The sad thing is I was attempting to inject some humor. Maybe you are, too? Hard to know any more with Pope not in charge.

I’d make Momcilovic and Graves offers they’d be insane to turn down. If Stokes wants in after those two I’d get his check ready for him as well, but I wouldn’t just wait for him first . Championship or bust.

My biggest fear was Pope wouldn’t be able to piece together a team talented enough to overcome his shortcomings as a coach. He’s trying to grow on the job… not here. Won’t work.
What I do hope, barring some unforeseen recruiting miracles, is that we root on the team that does wear the jersey next year while fully aware that it’s on Pope. No need to boo next season unless no effort. This case will likely be closed by conference play.

He knew he needed a GM and decided to try to use the genius of Mark Fox and some new dude who was the film guy for a freaking G League team to work as a defacto roster building guru while not having a key assistant role filled yet. Look, this is 1000% on the control freak that’s Mark Pope.

I couldn't care less if Freeman comes here or not. There are guys out there, Stokes, Momcilovic, Graves, Muurinen that could be huge moves and he has the funds available to go get two of them and still find solid depth guys like McBride. Bottom line is he better pull out every stop he knows because he is up **** creek unless he adds a couple of Dudes to this roster
