He was the crown jewel of our last recruiting class. Supposedly there weren't any takers in the P5 ranks for an undersized high-volume guy.
Sadly, CofC is a step up for him.

C of C is D1…That's a good place for him to develop. Maybe he comes back to D1 his senior year.
Well, that didn't happen here, for sure.Going to get coached up?
Yes?Well, that didn't happen here, for sure.
He was extremely highly hyped by our fan base coming in. Don't know if that's indication of how hard up we are for a decent basketball player or if Lamont ruined him.
I thought Ellis was okay as a freshman. Could have shot it better, but I don't think his issue is coaching. His issue is that his athletic ceiling can only go so high. Not very quick and they say he is 6'0". My first impression was who is he going to guard on the P4 level. Recruiting talent has been my issue with Lamont instead of gameday coaching. There has been too many times where I have looked at players that Lamont has brought in for about 20 minutes and said to myself that is not going to get it done.Well, that didn't happen here, for sure.

I think he is 5'10" as well.I saw 5'10" being a more likely size, but he may be 6'0"....barely. I think he's just undersized for P4. Of course, he may just tear it up at CofC. Never can tell.
