Please do some quick research on wedlock birth rates and literacy rates in the 20th century. The black family was conservative and strong. Literacy rates were not good, but rising at an impressive rate. Find pictures of Florence over a period of time. If you are truly curious, it will answer some questions. Going to stop, except to say people saw it coming, and were demonized for expressing their concern. Heck they are still demonized.

I am willing to have this discussion. But first, can you tell me why the predominantly black countries we have named are violent and lack peace and prosperity? Can you name any that are prosperous and peaceful? I am not playing a game of gotcha here. I just think if we could point to a predominantly black society or country that is peaceful and low violence, it would give cred to the things you listed above. Can you?
No one is saying white people don't shoot people. That's more than a little sophomoric. Using the exception as the argument actually disproves your argument.
When you have a culture where there are high standards around morality, education, work, etc, marginal people are going still fair well. By marginal, I mean, maybe from a broken family, not as smart, not as physically able. Any number of factors. The culture is going to hold them up at a much higher rate. You take the same troubled people, and put them around a high number of like, and they will fail at a much higher rate.
Mary Smith is a single mom in an affluent area with solid families. Her son has a good chance at a good life.
Mary Jones is a single mom in an area with a 80% out of wedlock rate. That kid is most likely f'ed.
Both Marys may be great moms, but they are put their children and others at risk.
Africa pre Berlin conference was filled with successful empires and kingdoms.

You can generally find two things in these nations. 1. Foreign powers sucking them dry of their natural resources. 2. Corrupt politicians all too willing to allow it for their own personal gain.
Black individuals are the same as whites or any other ethnicity on a genetic level. Any two humans on Earth are 99.9% genetically identical. There is no difference between us besides the melanin in our skin.
I will add, those black nations werent innocent. Their participation in the slave trade greatly contributed to their current state. But Im not going to condemn an entire subset of people over the sins of their fathers.
Is there a problem with black "culture"? Absolutely. But I'm not buying the propaganda that black people are just inherently evil people. There is a massive array of legitimate societal reasons for why black "culture" as we know it today exists. We should be addressing those issues, not condemning our fellow man. And with such contempt. It isnt healthy. And it certainly isnt Christian, which so many of you claim to be...

I’ve actually enjoyed this discussion that you and I have had. I did a little research on the Berlin conference and found it intriguing. You are right, there was thriving black nations before that time. Now, as you know, these were not exactly New York City and Dubai. These were tribal nations that prosper under a completely different structure and lifestyle. It really got me thinking. And it goes with what another poster said on here that perhaps blacks are simply struggling with western civilization.
I think this argument has some merit. Perhaps blacks would thrive in Africa in a completely different way than western civilization - Like they did before the Berlin conference. I’m not sure how this translates to Jamaica and Haiti, but for now let’s focus on Africa.
I hope you will acknowledge that blacks in general are struggling immensely in the area of violence and crime. And while there are some circumstances that contribute to that like slavery and some of the things you mentioned, they also need to take accountability and live productive lives. I have heard you blame white people and our system quite a bit, do you point the finger at blacks themselves… And if so, how much?
