It's all good let's just pretend like uk football is the butter on our UK basketball bread forum.
It literally takes zero effort and money to create another board for football. Zero. It’s not like they moderate these board anyways so I’ll never understand the reasoning behind this. It made zero sense.
Why don’t we just adopt this thread as “The Lair” op just change the name of it then when we come here looking for football news we can look it up. It does kinda suck to come to Rupps Rafters to read up on football. And it’s damn disrespectful as well. THE LAIR!!
It was done on purpose as it’s how they think - bball first. Otherwise, the would have been changed to UK Sports as they stated in the thread explaining the changes.
Trust me brother, when football is gearing up in August, there will be good football posts on here. I have had season tickets for years & this is the most fired up I can remember being to start a year. Can't wait to see KM sling the ball around the field.
He's already lining up visits with the best players, got a commitment from the #2 QB & flipped a top DT from Auburn to us. It's only gonna get better, this staff recruits the best states for players & they're young, can relate.

Oh it's coming, the schedule is very tough but they're gonna surprise some teams imo plus be in most every game if not all.
I was one of the few that sat in the stands through that entire Vandy game till the bitter end. It's not even remotely close.
I don't expect an IU-level turnaround, but I will be incredibly disappointed if we don't at least make it to a decent bowl game. Not directed at you, but we long-time UK FB fans need to start raising the standard and raising expectations.
I hear you. I’m just trying to be realistic this season with our schedule. Top five hardest in the country and it’ll just be hard to find over 6 wins. I love everything the staff did in the short time they had to bring us a fantastic bunch of talent, I’m hoping and will be screaming and hollering every down this upcoming season, I always want us to win every game but 6 wins is still a unbelievable season with who we have this season and who we’re competing against. I believe in this staff and think they’re definitely recruiting better than anything we could imagine, I’m going to give them time to build and develop first and I’m sure the wins are coming. If we can keep this staff together for three years, I do believe we’ll be competing for an SEC title in that fourth year. Any faster than that and I’ll be over the moon.
Yeah it’s pretty stupid to not have one additional board. Like what’s the actual cost difference for them? 3 cents?

I’m going to give Stein some rope this year. I just want to see his system, well played games, and some exciting offense.

Wildcatfaithful.net Is exactly where we need to go. It won't let me link it here but it's layout is similar with less ads, dedicated football and basketball as well as other sports.
Rafters was always the worst forum on Cats Illustrated. The Paddock and the Lair were the only two boards worth a crap. For over 20 years, Rafters always had every goof thinking their every single thought needed its own thread especially during a game, completely ignoring that it was similar to the other threads.
Agreed. Was gone for a while, and then came back to no lair? I wasn't even sure what happened, or if I was missing something? Strange way of doing business.

Winning an SEC home game would be nice this year. We have lost the last 6 SEC home games I have attended in last 3 years. Stien gets high marks from me at least if he can do that. With the projected 2nd toughest schedule in country next year it might be tough sledding for the new coach.

Our record against Tennessee is inexcusable. Georgia I somewhat understand, but we should have done better against UT.
