We received .25" last night in Wesson area, which is currently in a moderate drought. The ground is hard and cracking. We need a slow-moving system overnight with steady rain to make a sldent

Not to jinx things, but we've barely had a thunderstorm this spring, and the same last fall. But it's been really warm compared to "normal". March was 6.5 degrees warmer, and so far April has been 5 degrees above normal. The entire heating season was quite a bit warmer than it was supposed to be.

We got just under a half inch last night, but still 6 inches short on rainfall for the year. Still better off for rain than you guys in north Mississippi.

We looked like this a little over a year ago.

We just need some rain. Everyone has stopped planting because we have run out of topsoil moisture. I have never in my life said that statement in April ever.
I’ve seen several groups of dirt movers getting after it, something usually not seen in April.
