Well, technically you can come to the state of Iowa to wrestle for Metcalf now!?Per this guy, people are flocking to Iowa to wrestle for Metcalf!
Anthony would still be better middleweight depth than VV3. In fact he beat him two years ago at Soldier Salute.Well shoot does that mean Iowa is out of the running for the youngest Ferrari now?! Gosh dang it shoot
This is terrible on your part Spooner! I’ve not been this disappointed in you for years. JFC find your game.Per Cael last year. Has this changed?
“I don’t think very many programs are going to have 30 scholarships. I mean, we’re definitely not going to have 30 scholarships, not even close.”

To be fair, a lot of people don't know the details of the things that happened with the middle one.I'm sorry...I don't know what you mean here. Please explain. Thank you.
I can't imagine having such a warped mind that thinking Anthony Ferrari is worth bringing in for "middle weight depth." Talk about the risk not equaling the reward...not sure I've seen a better example.

Swaw has about a 50% hit rate and even lower when it’s about Iowa
Yeah, just hoping he was right for this oneSwaw has about a 50% hit rate and even lower when it’s about Iowa
Michigan he will visit next week. His brother Moses Mendoza will be a freshman at Michigan in August as well
If he commits to Michigan, Wolbert will be over recruited again. Crazy lol.Michigan he will visit next week. His brother Moses Mendoza will be a freshman at Michigan in August as well
I think Zepeda to Iowa is pretty much toast. I agree, I think Block is ideally a 149 but Echemendia seems determined to be a 149. The guy that really fits Iowa is Sealey, unfortunately he seems to be ecstatic with his comfortable seat over at the People's Temple.....Does it come down to Ech coming to Iowa, forcing Block to 157, which negates Zepeda?
Would like to know if Ech simply hates Metcalf and once Dresser changed jobs, it sealed his fate.
Just not sure Echemendia has the horsepower for 149.
Think I will go with this take.I still think we land Zepeda. Night and day difference in atmosphere between Iowa and Michigan. Michigan is a football and basketball school, not a wrestling school.
I think if Ech comes to Iowa it would be with the understanding that he is going 141. Could be wrong though. Glad to see the going after Yonger for the HWCI think Zepeda to Iowa is pretty much toast. Echemendia left ISU because he doesn’t want to make 141. I am against moving Block for just one year. If Zepeda comes for 4 years then I would say let them sort it out but wouldn’t rock the boat for a guy with one year — especially one that quit on his team after he lost and didn’t want to wrestle back.I think if Ech comes to Iowa it would be with the understanding that he is going 141. I don’t want him honestly. Just saying I think there is more to it than weight. He would beat anyone they got at 149 too.Echemendia left ISU because he doesn’t want to make 141. Like the clapI have him on ignore and he still shows up!
Nothing makes sense for Iowa to take Ech…..nothing! And I hope Beth says no here, just like with AJEch has to go 41 for this to make sense for Iowa
When does little ayala graduate and is he as good as drake? To be fair the only one on that list that was close to DeLuca's pedigree was Drake (probably exceeded Leo's). Yes Ybarra had some acclaim and Petersen too, the rest were assumed backups / room kids.
Psu is funFar be it from me to tell them how to be good but they aren’t going to ride the pine behind guys they can’t beat then somehow overtake them in freestyle. It’s never happened to my knowledge. Competing and wrestling actual matches is super important for development.
Plus, if PSU was the only place to get good at wrestling then why is the returning world team made up of only 2 guys who wrestled at PSU out of 10 weights. And one of them was a HS kid when he made the team so it’s difficult to attribute that to the PSU room.
The point is there is ample evidence to support the fact it’s a ridiculous notion that sitting on the bench at PSU is the best thing for their wrestling.
Rumor floating around is Echemendia wanted 149, where the bigger Frost is penciled in.I don’t want him honestly. Just saying I think there is more to it than weight. He would beat anyone they got at 149 too.

Really? When does little ayala graduate and is he as good as drake?
I buy that. I think the Frost’s were on the fence.Rumor floating around is Echemendia wanted 149, where the bigger Frost is penciled in.
And if that happened, Frost isn't big enough for 157...so Metcalf was threatened with having both Frosts portaling out.
It was a choice to lose Ech vs losing both Frosts.
Given that ISU is looking at a rough year next season anyway, it was an easy call.
Competition in the room doesn’t make sense? Added depth?Nothing makes sense for Iowa to take Ech…..nothing! And I hope Beth says no here, just like with AJ
Nope, not when you are bringing in a wife beater/troubled person. Not to mention hes about 30 years oldCompetition in the room doesn’t make sense? Added depth?
