I don’t have a lot on the Freeman/Rancik recruitment but if I had to guess on that one it will be Rancik.
If he wins, why would you. Pope wants it more then any of us goofy a.ss fans. Winning would make a bunch of Pope pumpers

Solid grab by Pope. Hard to say much given this guy could've gone nearly anywhere. Solid stats, especially against solid P4 competition.

I’m not as down on him as many others. Do I think he’s going to work out here? No, but I also didn’t think he should be fired after two seasons. The “go cheer for another team” comment is so tired and worn out. Especially when I specifically said he deserves praise for this commit. The reason we are concerned is the same reason we became UK fans in the first place. This is the greatest tradition in the history of college basketball and we want to win at the highest level. I want Pope to succeed and will give him every opportunity to change my opinion.
The tone and perspective are similar but the occupation/connection seems different.
If Hawthorne's position is he either starts or he's out of here then so be it. I want to land Stokes if at all possible. I like Hawthorne's potential but do not really see him as a starter on a really good team at this point. He could turn out to be all that but I'm not willing to pin all of our hopes on it.
We need an answer from Stokes so we can go after Juke Harris and the others you mentioned we need a wing scorer someone who can get theirs . If no stokes or juke I want McNair and Momcillivic use the money from the later for them 2 get a back Center and pg/combo

Juke wasn’t interested in us when we initially reached out, that’s why you haven’t heard anything about us involved with him. Stokes won’t keep us from getting anyone, there is a separate fund to ensure we can pay him if he comes. I still think we land him, I’ve heard mid next week for his decision so we shall see.
Get Momcilovic, McNair off Bench, McNeil SG you have the number 1,5 and 18 best 3 point shooters in the country PERCENTAGE. If we get freeman them Momcilovic is out. Take bird in hand Freeman over Mom he could stay on draft
If you fs. Convince McNair to come off bench wrap up McNeil that’s number 5 and 28 best 3 point ranking shooters in the country
Yeah, be good to get a good shooter at PG like Jalen Cox from Colgate... obstacle it likely that he started every game the last 2 seasons and played 30 mins/game in 2024-2025 and ~35 mins/game in 2025-2026. So, not sure he is likely to come to play as a backup unless the NIL opportunity is good enough knowing that college is when he will make the most $$$ playing basketball.
If we end up with Stokes give me McNair over McNeil. If not switch it around.
If no Stokes we still got a pot of gold from no stokes to disperse for top position players correct

Too funny. I was doing the same as far as looking for news. I went to go see a movie with my fiance and come out to this news. I’ll take it1) Hot Damn!
2) After 72 hours of refreshing every thirty seconds, I set down my phone for two minutes on a Saturday afternoon of all times, and missed all the action.
3) With two strong guards, Mason Williams can slide to a backup role, yes? That’s a solid back court. I’d love to throw another shooter in that mix but minutes are gonna be tight. Maybe a four who can stretch the floor.
