Here’s the holy water bit. I don’t know if it was in that YouTube clip. I watched the show so I don’t generally go back and watch the highlight clips of stuff I watched.
4.5 hour main card is a bit longer than the average AEW main card since AEW normally goes from 8 to around 12-12:15.
I don’t hate Guilia but SD needs Midcard people - Paige probably fits that perfectly. RAW already has 2/3 of the women’s roster.
Then call up some NXT women who are considerably better and who actually have a potentially good future in the business instead of chasing ghosts. And they probably come cheaper than Paige to boot.
WrestleMania week supporting shows are starting to fall in prominence.
No more Walemania - big musical event for the unaware
No more NXT Stand and Deliver
No more ROH Supercard of Honor
No more Bloodsport
I know some of the bigger US indies didn’t run a show there this year
Assuming Saudi Arabia doesn’t pull the plug on SaudiMania, If AEW does the smart thing next year and runs a big show in the US and makes a hard play for turning it into a weekly festival type thing, they could start stealing away some of the Mania week festivities.
While the fanbase is considerably smaller, it’s also a fanbase that is much more likely to watch or attend non-WWE events.
TJPW (Tokyo Joshi Pro) ran some Texas shows during All In week last year. Every show sold out and the show the day after All In set the company attendance record, even better than anything they ever drew in Japan.
The field Hobbs had to beat to win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal screams they don’t view his future in WWE particularly highly. Might as well call it the Jobber Battle Royal. I sure hope I’m wrong.
Alas, I hope Dragunov has the intelligence to leave WWE whenever his contract ends. Can’t even make it to the final four of the Jobber Battle Royal. With his in-ring ability and with a style that would fit very well in AEW, he would be treated like a god in AEW.
I’d say the same for Giulia, but she’s a Fed mark. So she’ll probably keep signing to be treated like a joke until they inevitably decide to cut her because they have no clue how to book her. She would be pushed like the top tier talent that she is from day one in AEW.

It’s funny, I was watching Dragunov last night and thinking how much TK would love him. He’d constantly have a title on him.
Guy would be immediately booked to be one of the best in the world, which of course he is.
I wish more of these people who are clearly bad fits in WWE or AEW would stop signing to the company they are a bad fit for since both companies struggle to figure out how to make it work the vast majority most of the time.
If one company is only showing interest that’s one thing, go get your money. But if both are showing interest (and you can easily find out before becoming an actual official free agent) and the money is good in both places? Sign with the one where you actually fit.

Dragunov had several weeks of impressive matches plus a title run. I don't think they believe in putting the same people in matches every week so some wrestlers get hot then purposely cooled off. They currently see him at a US title material level so if he's featured a lot and wins like eight matches in a row, fans will want him against Cody or Orton for the title and that's not where they see him.
Keys is over 40 and WWE (as well as fans) have been talking about the future. He'll have his spot but he wasn't getting Oba's spot or will be another Cody in a year or two. Not every roster switch = future HOFer. Ethan Page is killing it but he's still in NXT. Christian was killing it but as a mid-card heel talking about sleeping with moms and mocking dead fathers. Black has a spot on SD with his wife but they don't have charisma so here's a job and some tv time but don't expect the moon. Ricochet's biggest claim since leaving is being an online troll and people yelling the word 'bald' at him.

WWE workers are saying things about their opponents that usually don’t get said out loud. I wonder if that is a company strategy to go along with their reality show or if h has just loosened the rules on promos.
If I weee a female talent, no way I’d do meet and greets without at least one big *** security guard there that wants to whip a nerd’s ***.
Call me weird but I wouldn't bother a celebrity if they were sitting next to me on a plane. Much less go out of my way to get an autograph that I would throw away and a picture I wouldn't show anyone.
I mean she's made it blatantly obvious that she's just using wrestling as a stepping stone to get into Hollywood, which maybe she might succeed at if she gets typecasted as an action star that doesn't need to be able to act well.

Same but I think social media engagement has made it so these modern fans feel closer to these people in the pseudo reality world so when they see them in public they harass or do stupid things.
These types of things didn’t happen pre 2010 unless you were terry funk inciting a fan riot in the mid south b/c you were a good heel.
WWE also ****** up big time this week by having the company hotel being part of a casino so they can't close off access to anyone.
I honestly think Jade has trouble getting along with people b/c she didn’t grind in the business and has been given things instead of earned b/c of her looks. She can’t mic or wrestle more than a 10 minute match and wants to be an actress.
