We are beyond cooked. I was getting ready to post this, if you watch his highlight on Twitter, it was more criticism that complements. This guy should be a practice player at UK and Pope thinks he can land him because he is from the state.

I don’t hate it, it really depends on if you think Reece Potter will actually play. I have been thinking Reece Potter is a practice player but if he can actually contribute this year then you need someone to replace him on the practice squad.
Pros - He does block shots . He can make a layup . Cons - he would never get a rebound in the SEC not one .
For a player who is so terrible there seems to be plenty of schools interested, and I'm convinced after being on this board that the overwhelming majority of people who would ***** , or find a reason, no matter what Pope does.
Is he a game changer? No. But I’ve always said, if you’re not great, you should have some kind of physical attribute or skill that could affect a game regardless of your skill.
Not to mention, we have guards who like to finish at the rim and in the mid range. Will be great to practice against 7’5” if he does come to Kentucky.

no brainer, The kid should go to Purdue. Painter can develop big guys better then just about anyone
This is a clear case of people blindly supporting Pope regardless of what he does. When he does something good, I give him credit. I’m glad he signed Wilkens but this guy is 7’5, played in 30 games and averaged less than 3 points a game, 2.3 rebounds, 1 block per game and shot 35% from the free throw line when he got in a real conference. This guys is a practice body and would get killed by SEC bigs. The other big schools contacting him have several bigs already in house:

This is actually looking realistic.
If he comes here it’s to be a DEEP bench piece. That’s obvious to anyone not looking for a reason to be mad. What harm is having a 7’5 guy as your 12th man? Florida did it just this past season, it’s a risk you take in case you can develop him.
Why would a player come to UK to be a
“Deep” bench piece when he played 12-14 minutes a game at USC, a power 5 school?

We already have 7’1 Potter, maybe this guy wants to come and redshirt? That’s the only reason I could see him coming here. I wouldn’t give much NIL for him.
