What about Alvaro Folgueiras as a backup plan at PF?

Folgueiras was ok at Iowa. He came off the bench and played 20 min/gm. I watched them 4-5 times and thought he should have started - at points he looked really good, like what we wanted Jelavic to be. Still, his 3pt. shooting, 2Pt. attempts, and rebounding numbers were disappointing. I know some will say it was the jump up to the Big Ten, but I don't think that fully explains it. Maybe it had a little bit to do with Iowa's system - very slow and nobody but Stirtz hardly touches the ball. Whatever the reason was, a good coaching staff should be able to figure out whether he underperformed his abilities last season, and if so I think he could be a nice option at PF/C - maybe even a starting PF option.

Their coaching staff is better than ours.

At this juncture, I believe Pope will go after Ronald McDonald and the Burger King, that’s how it’s shaping up…

We will likely get Freeman or Ransik from the sound of things. AF is a good shooter, but he’s pretty limited otherwise and rumors he is very difficult to play with/ deal with. I actually like his game but I don’t think we end up going in that direction based on where we stand today.
