INDUSTRY (apologies if already discussed):

LOVED S1 and S2. S3....okay....and I get where the entire show is coming from/going to, BUT:

I think S4 has jumped the shark (have my reasons just wondering if anyone feels the same). Was hoping to get a good 6 seasons out of it, before doing so, but I can barely pay attention now (S4E8) and have felt this way most of the season.

Thanks!

I just binged Southland. Good show, lots of big actors but the final show was a lot disappointment- funny single moment. In tge first season that Lucy Liu was paired with Cooper and she says “ They are now calling us The Walking Dead”

Now that my old favorite, Scrubs, is back on after a 15 year vacation I have a weekly half hour comedy to look forward to.

Just wish John C McGinley and Neil Flynn were back as regulars.

Yeah, definitely a little disappointed about both. McGinley is only doing 3 episodes this season. I’m wondering if it was his choice, or the creators of the show, as they’ve had to change the writing quite a bit (which was quite evident in the first two episodes) and there wouldn’t have been much left for him to say lol!

So far I’m happy with the reboot, although I have trouble looking at Elliot’s face. Too much plastic surgery.

I know this is about series but Netflix just released Peaky Blinders The Immortal Man, I thought it was really good.

Just caught up to last nights episode of The Pitt.

Great show. Better than ER since it’s focused on ER procedures and not personal issues.

AndI see that doctors are saying most of the stuff that happens on the show is accurate to what goes on IRL.

I thought it was just okay.
Same, I get the story of him coming out of hiding and coming to grips with getting back into it, but I really wanted to see more of Tommy Shelby kicking a$$. IMO they spent too long on this. I really didn't care about his son Duke or could get invested in this brand new character.

You know what is weird about the original PB- I watched it and it became an instant classic top 10 all time on my list. I went to watch it again last year- and it lost my interest quickly. So weird. No interest to watch the sequel

I just finished season 3 of Yellow Jackets. I didn't think I would like it but turned out to be really good. I recommend it. Season 4 will come out later this year.

Yes it’s a cartoon. But Invincible is a great series on Amazon. Better story and probably universe than The Boys.

Great finish to Season 4 of Invincible.

The writer of the comics posted this as far as how far the TV series has gone into the comics timeline. (Each book is 1200+ pages long).

Speaking of Non MCU Comic Book Series, Gen V will not have Season 3 as it will combine with the final season of The Boys.

I'm watching season 5 of The Boys and it's great. I'm not that big of a comic book fan, so this is something that anyone can enjoy. This whole series has been excellent. I highly recommend it watching the whole thing. Gen V was good too.

Just finished "Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen" on Netflix. The first four episodes were great and really pulled me in. Then it took a bizarre turn and got really bad and confusing. I'd skip this one.

I know I’m going to get “wrecked” by most here. I know what’s in the comics (IDC 🥴). But The Boys has to have some powers to tell the future from when they filmed this season. Or at the least trolling everyone in what’s been going on this season.

Hell of a show and it’s going to end with a banger. Too bad Gen V was cancelled but considering the loss of the actor of a major character and most certainly plotlines of both shows, kind of figured they would.

Watched the first episode of “Lord of the Flies”, on Netflix. Wasn’t bad. 4 episodes total, about 1 hour each.

I recently binged all 5 seasons of Slow Horses on Apple TV. Based on the book series by Mick Herron about an outcast group of MI 5 agents. So underrated. Gary Oldman's Jackson Lamb is so great.

Also on Apple TV and based on a Mick Herron novel is Down Cemetary Road, with Emma Thompson, which is more of a detective show, but also very good.

Just started Widow's Bay, also on Apple TV, which I'm really excited about. First 2 episodes are out. It's a horror comedy. Think Northern Exposure meets Stephen King.

Just finished Run Away on Netflix. Based on a Harlen Coben book. Not bad, took a while to get me into.

Any fans of Homeland might find this interesting

A few years ago, my wife and I watched season 1, episode 1 of Homeland and decided we weren't going to dive in. Fast forward to this year, my daughter is back living with us and she wanted to give it a try. We're now on season 6, episode 2. The earlier seasons were better, but it's holding our interest. If it was just me and my wife, I think we might be inclined to call it quits here as I'm not really loving season 6 early on. But my daughter will press us to get through all 8 seasons.

Understandable, I like spy shows, like this and 24. The first several seasons were great for me. I wasn’t sure I would like the Quinn character but he grew on me.
