Really surprised by the lack of Strong *** offers from LSU
Is he mobile like Edey and Mara or is he more like the typical huge big with feet of stone?
My first question as well. Upon quick first glance, he seems to be closer to Mara and Edey as far as coordination and agility go. He actually jumps to #1 on the 5 man wish list for me. Unfortunately, we aren’t looking for a starter there, and I’d assume that’s what he would want. Unless MM slots over at the 4 instead of the 5.
average 2 points and 2 rebounds in 11 minutes a game. 35% free throw shooter.
"Molasses Slow" Mark Pope needs to get it in gear and get some good players in here ASAP. At Pope's turtle pace, only "bottom of the barrel" players will be soon left. We don't need those type players and/or a roster full of Division II players...this is KENTUCKY!!!

This Chump is playing a huge part in ruining UK Basketball.
Some of the schools that don't currently have many players, they've probably already made deals with the players they want knowing they'll jump in the portal on the last day. It's actually a good tactic to use to keep other teams away from whom they want, however, other schools will catch on & start doing it. Hell, if I had to guess, I'd say some coaches do it during the season, they play a team, a player lights them up, now the coach gets his people to contact the kids agent, boom, now the player knows where he's heading to & how much he's getting paid the next season.
I can’t believe that it’s been this long and we have one commit. It’s insane.
Many just think of the campus visits though MP has probably conversed with ~50 portal and foreign players via Zoom, text, phone calls etc., and for that to only result in a single player rated #26 is absolutely surreal, it demonstrates an immeasurable level of failure and it also reflects why he failed to recruit even a single top 100 HS player. If he misses out on both Freeman and Stokes, his career at UK is over with, IMO, it’s just a matter of when not if. He has one person to blame, himself.

Not true, KU has four freshmen coming in, we have one marginal HS kid that we had to hire his father to get him. we ultimately have more holes to fill.
And that is with a coach that has health issues and questions surrounding his retirement… they still got commitments
I certainly thought we’d have more by now. It’s frustrating watching other teams land a bunch of guys in the time it takes us to get just one.
Stokes needs to make a damn decision, and then dominoes may start falling. I suspect the decision of some others may be dependent on what he does.

VISITS, so quit being so negative guys. We should start signing some 150-200 ranked guys to 
DEVELOP.
Gotta feel good about about winning around 64% games this year as we slowly improve. By year six, he should have us fighting for top five in the SEC if everything goes well. Go cats!!

I can… Pope has everything going against him.
1. No resume with bigs wins.
2. Has never coached NBA level players.
3. On the coaching Hot Seat.
4. Roster mismanagement and players that don’t fit strengths.
5. Suspect pre-game preparation.
6. Subbing players in and out with no game flow awareness.
7. Doesn’t prioritize defense, and lets players do whatever.
8. Beta male personality. No strong leadership skills.
I mean, that’s the short list, but you could also add, doesn’t want to get into bidding wars, because it’s UK, and players should be paying Pope for the opportunity to play for the name on the front of the jersey.
In short, the guy is a complete disaster to be the head mbb coach of the University of Kentucky.
Most of these don't apply. The guy from PC doesn't have a lot of these and he is mopping up in the portal. Another great fit we missed out on.
Meanwhile we are in on this nobody.
That guy is actually good and an excellent outside shooter.
He was what, the 4th best player on an underperforming NC St? Petty mid if you ask me. That is a desperation look.
