If he doesn't pick UK, rather he pick Oregon over the Cheathawks.
He seems to not be doing anything to help out the roster situation at either UK or KU.He was right to say he is going to decide in two because he needs to see the rosters first because Pope will be lucky to have four starters by then at this rate. When this disaster is over I look forward to reading about how it truly was behind the scenes.
Can’t and won’t happen. Boosters set aside money that is only for Stokes. That’s one reason I’m all in on Stokes myself. You’re not choosing Stokes OR some other hypothetical player. If we don’t get Stokes, that money goes poof.Take part of the money you have set back for Stokes and give it to Momcilivic if he is willing to sign. You could give the top offer to Momcilivic and still have money left for another piece out of the $7M or whatever we are offering Stokes. We will have a better team in the end
Momcilivik is going through the draft process so you would have to wait on him also.Take part of the money you have set back for Stokes and give it to Momcilivic if he is willing to sign. Thats ridiculous. Can’t and won’t happen. Boosters set aside money that is only for Stokes. That’s one reason I’m all in on Stokes myself. You’re not choosing Stokes OR some other hypothetical player. If we don’t get Stokes, that money goes poof.
The point is, Momcilivic is totally different but will be just as good as Stokes next season. Why not take two shots? Offer the money to both, pay the first one who accepts, sorry to the otherMomcilivik is going through the draft process so you would have to wait on him also.
It’s not my decision, man. This is a well-documented fact about this off-season by Jack Pilgrim and Matt Jones. There’s one budget for Stokes and a smaller budget for a roster without Stokes. If you think that’s ridiculous, I hear you but you’ll have to find a manager for the correct department on that one. Personally, in a vacuum if much rather have Momcilovic than Stokes but it is what it is. Now, I will say the expectation is if we don’t get Stokes we will go hard with a big offer for Momcilovic though at least.Thats ridiculous.
People that put forward that money for Stokes did so because of the caliber player he is projected to be. Momcilivic averaged 17 a game and shot 49% from three for a good ISU team. You can make a strong argument that Momcilivic will be a better college player next year than Stokes. Why the Hell would a donor that put that money up for an impact player like Stokes then say no to Momcilvic? Absurd
I’m not saying I disagree with your assessment but he’s right. That money is for Stokes only. I don’t think boosters after last year trust Pope on a high budget going after players that might not be worth it. Momcilovic is worth it but he’s not going to be the number one pick in the draft or get the national spotlight on him like Stokes will.Thats ridiculous.

I get what you are saying Bro, I am not calling you ridiculous, I think that whole scenario is ridiculous. And I don't know if Pilgrim or Jones would have the first clue as to whether that donor would be willing to pivot to a player as good as Momcilivic. Thats not sone random kid, he is the top player available in the portal IMO.It’s not my decision, man. This is a well-documented fact about this off-season by Jack Pilgrim and Matt Jones. Matt Jones would 100% know for sure, with certainty on this type of thing. Recruiting stuff? He’s not plugged in like he was ten years ago. Administrative and booster/donor relations? Take what he says to the bank.I get what you are saying Bro, I am not calling you ridiculous, I think that whole scenario is ridiculous. If I am said donor, I would be good with either. But as you said, maybe they just want to brag about getting the #1 HS recruit
Oh that’s easy, it was before NIL huge payouts, yea that’s it, …….the money (ignores that Pope has missed on about 100 5 stars at UK all the while offering them millions)BYU? How? It’s impossible to get 5 star recruits to BYU according to the Pope pumpers.
