I don't know about "by far," but yeah, I expect him to be #1. As is often the case we have good depth at TE, and there will probably be some sets with all three on the field at the same time.
You could be correct and Lester does a Bill O'Brien Penn St deal putting DJV out on the edge with Ort and Ostrenga in tighter. I like that as a power run look with 7 inside to block but also adding to a jump ball to DJV and RVZ on both wideout positions with QB and 1 running back

I know it's bold, but I say we get it done with Reece Vander Zee. I predict the Iowa Offense takes a giant step toward the 21st Century and actually has a wide receiver lead the team in receiving. I know it's controversial, but we shattered the dream and scored nearly 30 points per game in 2025.
Iowa has some pretty good WR options this year. It may cut down on TE catches but change the bad guys' coverage to open them up for catches when we need the seven to twelve yards.

Some of these predictions I can get behind. I don't think Indiana has a world beating QB like other media members think they do. They won't win the B1G, but they'll likely make the playoffs.

Not surprised the media is hyping up Michigan, that's a tale as old as time.

While it's easy to predict a TE will be a leading receiver, I think Lester is really excited to use RVZ and Diaz. I'll go with one of them as our leading receiver instead.

And don’t sleep on Evan James. Was injured for part of Spring practice, but wouldn’t at all be surprised if he starts to flash in practice if he stays healthy.

When you consider his stats from last year at Furman were from only nine games, they are even more impressive.

This would be a big "surprise" and fun to watch! Hope it happens.

Wow, nice call… just looked up his stats. 65 catches in 9 games and was a very consistent producer in every single game. Last game was vs Clemson and had 6 catches for 36 yards and 2 rushes for 18. Not mind blowing stats but clearly a go-to guy for them and didn’t shy away in a big-boy game where he was probably very keyed on by the defense.

“Nebraska misses out on a bowl game”

Disagree. I think Cornhuskers finish 6-6. 3rd straight bowl invite. Rhule rewarded with a bonus and contract extension.
A contract extension would be great for all fans that aren't Debby fans. Sadly or gladly though, I think they have another losing regular season. Including another loss to Iowa.

If RVZ can stay healthy, I expect he'll take huge steps!

Not sure how bold the Wisconsin prediction is...

Failing to make a bowl game and cleaning house seem pretty likely. Especially with a new AD

the wisconsin prediction unfortunately won’t be happening imo. they picked up arguably the best college qb in the portal and that can make a big difference as we know

If they can’t figure out their line play you could bring back Russell Wilson and it still won’t matter JMHO
