I mean, if you miss on Stokes, wouldn't there be around $5 to $7 million available for Momcilivic?

He's all in on the draft. The portal is just a fallback option.
The boosters supplying the money for Stokes are only willing to give that money if he commits. Otherwise the rosters budget is lower.

We should have offered Juke Harris 80% of what we offered Stokes a week ago. Would take either over Stokes easily.
Pope has shown nothing that leads me to believe he can land a stud.

Stokes I feel was never coming here so you'd should've just not held yourself hostage to him and offered dudes like Momcilivic. Unless you can get these high schoolers signed before the portal its a waste to hold on during the portal for them.
Wouldn't be the first player to stay in the draft at that range.

That’s what I would do. I’d recruit like he’s not coming here. If he does great, if he doesn’t and we get a top portal guy, that’ll be great too. Can’t take a chance on chasing not chasing top portal guys waiting on him

May sound a little crazy, but based purely on fit, a Zoom-Milan-Freeman trio would be better than a Zoom-Stokes-Freeman trio.
Unless you're guaranteed money or sure fire 1st round, it's crazy to pass up 3-6 mil in college. But that's me at 45 working long hrs to make 6 figures.
From what I’ve been able to see, most of the smoke about Florida is that they see him as a potential replacement for Haugh. Not sure if they’re as good of a fit both roster wise and money available if Haugh comes back, which there’s been some buzz about in the past couple of days.
All that being said, his interest is reported to primarily be staying in the draft. If we have any shot with him, it’s probably only going to be after he plays out the process until the last minute. There’s really no urgency to give up on Stokes and pivot to him at this point.

Who isn't a UK target? I have it on good accord from someone on this inside that this entire squad has absolutely no chemistry and did nothing together as a team - all they cared about was cashing in their NIL and moving on. That's a really miserable way to run a team.
Me either. If Pope pulls him and or Stokes I may believe a little in him again. My hopes will not get up for this though. We have heard this before to drive up prices.
