Oh. So that account didn’t just share Willie’s info and said poster didn’t share it here even though Willie’s post was shared here?
Got it. Off to get another Worthers Original I guess.

its sucks that teams have to wait for the transfer portal after graduation to fill a weight. Its not fair when that year has few options. Teams should have multiple years and a pool of new talent fill a weight.Unfortunately he’s the best the portal has to offer at 165 this year, not good timing to lose Caliendo.
You’re trying way too hard lately…. And you seem more like a black licorice guy.Oh. So that account didn’t just share Willie’s info and said poster didn’t share it here even though Willie’s post was shared here?

I’m a big fan of @hawkeyesource, When I had twitter he kept me informed on Iowa news and I shared a couple of conversations with him on twitter. Great guy.i appreciate hawkeye source attributing me in his post. should be standard operating procedure for news but in today's world everyone wants to act like they they are the source. but ... whatever. nerds.
does he have two years left?Schubert to the hawks for 165! Per Willie
Yesdoes he have two years left?
does he have two years left?
If rumor is true of another commit today, my guess would be Ech.
Some guy on Intermat is saying Zepeda to Michigan is a done deal. So, who knows. Don’t know if this guy is any insider of any sorts.![]()
Make it be Zepeda, please.
Zepeda visits Michigan next week![]()

But hoping for Zepeda as well! Time will tell.
I hope not.If rumor is true of another commit today, my guess would be Ech.
I think Sealy is either getting really bad advice or he's okay with not being able to wrestle meaningful matches the rest of his career. Here's what Penn State's lineup looks like at just about any weight class he could conceivably get to. Sealy is just too big to get down to 149 and there's no way he can get up to 184 and compete at a reasonably high level. This is the second time someone mentioned Denny. Is he known to be unhappy with where he is at after one year? Ideally Sealy would have entered the portal, but nobody leaves PSU once they are in, kind of like the mafia![]()
| Year | 157 Likely Starter | 165 Likely Starter | 174 Likely Starter | Sealy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-27 | Tyler Kasak (rJR) | Mitchell Mesenbrink (rSR) | William Henckel (rFR) | Redshirt Sophomore |
| 2027-28 | Tyler Kasak (rSR) or Jayden James (rFR) | PJ Duke (rSO) | William Henckel (rSO) | Redshirt Junior |
| 2028-29 | Jayden James (rSO) | PJ Duke (rJR) | William Henckel (rJR) | Redshirt Senior |
If Ech commits to us, he will be 141, not 149. I don’t see Block moving up.If Ech commits today then Zepeda is not an option anymore one would think. Hoping Zepeda just pulls the trigger and comes aboard now.
Still pretty early in the portal sweepstakes. Where guys land weight-wise will ultimately depend on who all comes aboard IMO. So not gonna worry about it until they commit, or don't.If Ech commits to use, he will be 141, not 149. I don’t see Block moving up.
Many times on here, Corby has said that Block is a 149, not a 157. I trust his word.
So I don’t think us getting Ech rules out for Zepeda. I think Zepeda is projected at 157 for both Iowa and Michigan. Both teams already have a 149.
What if Ech beats out Block? If Ech commits to use, he will be 141, not 149. I don’t see Block moving up.

Give me Block… I don’t see Block not wrestling 149 next year. What if Ech beats out Block?
Means bailey takes a shirt, probably the best thing for him. I believe Bailey is a title contender with his hands working properly, No GRIP no Bueno. If Ech commits to use, he will be 141, not 149. I don’t see Block moving up.

Yeah, or OJ Simpson! Or Casey Anthony!
I'd prefer he redshirt at Michigan. Have Zepeda sign with them and do a new fangled portal sign and trade deal of some sort and call it good.Means bailey takes a shirt, probably the best thing for him. I believe Bailey is a title contender with his hands working properly, No GRIP no Bueno.
I don't lurk. I wait.I just noticed there is lurker here with a 'Justin Credible' handle. That is just incredible.
That would be a nice problem to have…more depth. What if Ech beats out Block?
I think Zepeda can decide which weight he wants at either Iowa or Michy. If Ech commits to us, he will be 141, not 149. I don’t see Block moving up.

He took an ORS year to badger and coerce his accuser into dropping the case.He was also accused of sex crimes, for heavens sake. Dropped charges doesn’t mean he was innocent.
James isn't going to be a 157 in 28-29. He's 170 now. He'll be 174 or maybe 184. Potentially (I guess) there is a spot open at 157 in 28 if he can hold that weight until then and PSU doesn't get another blue chip recruit ahead of him. I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves, though, but whatever, if he's more focused on FS, he may not care about starting in folkstyle.I think Sealy is either getting really bad advice or he's okay with not being able to wrestle meaningful matches the rest of his career. Realistically, his best shot to get on the mat is probably at 157 in 2028-29. 4 years riding the bench HOPING to get on the mat as a redshirt senior as a top 10 guy is pretty crappy. He's not beating out Mesenbrink next year and it's almost certain that they're going to redshirt Duke in 26-27 so that he can wrestle at 165 in 27-28. If he's not getting into the portal this year, he's effectively giving up a year where he could potentially AA somewhere else. The worst thing that can happen to him is not pulling the trigger this year. Duke already beat him out at 157 this year and is almost certainly going to do the same thing at 165.
Like I said, he's either okay not wrestling or he's getting bad advice from someone in his life.
I don't remember her or her attorney saying that but really didn't follow that story very close. I remember a report or post on the old forum that money was negotiated with the case being dropped. He took an ORS year to badger and coerce his accuser into dropping the case.
Isn’t Kasak gone in 28-29 which would give Seally 2 years if he’s at 157?James isn't going to be a 157 in 28-29. He's 170 now. He'll be 174 or maybe 184. My guess is that Kasak is 157 until he graduates, Duke takes a RS then is 165 for 3 seasons, Henckel is 174 this season and next while James shirts, then Henckel & James are the 174/184 with Asher Cunningham in the mix for a spot as well.

The motion to dismiss the case was filed by district attorney Laura Austin Thomas on Friday afternoon to bring an end to a 15-month situation, citing “vicious attacks” and “harassment” directed at her client
Kasak has 2 years left and Sealey has 3.Isn’t Kasak gone in 28-29 which would give Seally 2 years if he’s at 157?
In Oklahoma, you can bring up the accuser's past in SA cases. Attorney was going ham.I don't remember her or her attorney saying that but really didn't follow that story very close. I remember a report or post on the old forum that money was negotiated with the case being dropped.
Ahhh. I mistakenly thought he was aRS. Hard to sit out 4 years of competing seriously and get better.Kasak has 2 years left and Sealey has 3.
Not when you have 5 years to rub Cael's bald head everyday, there's magic there that most of us can't fathom. Whether you actually ever wrestle or not is secondary.Ahhh. I mistakenly thought he was aRS. Hard to sit out 4 years of competing seriously and get better.

I didn’t realize he had already gotten that big. That changes that piece but it still means that he’s really only looking at 1 seasonJames isn't going to be a 157 in 28-29. He's 170 now.
