I have not seen much of this young man, but what I have seen leads me to believe he will fit right in and flourish in the Iowa room much like Cali did. He reminds me of Mikey.
Very solid - nice pick up for the Hawks and fills a hole. Should improve in the room.

He was a 165 his 1st year then went 157 and got hurt and then he decided to not cut much and went 174 now he's realized he's a 165
Peyton Keller was at 65 who transfered there from Ohio after an all American season at the beginning of the season he was thought pretty highly of
According to his WrestleStat he had a solid year! Lost some close ones to a few All Americans.
Carter is a phenomenal fit. No brainer addition that should absolutely thrive in our room.

Wrestled PK Rd 2 and wrestled him tough. Rd12 finisher this year at 174. Beat some AAs during the season. More impressive when you consider he thinks he was up at the wrong weight. Doesn’t appear to score too many points, but seems to be a winner for the most part. And a good culture fit. Training with Caliendo, PK, Arnold, and Angelo should do wonders for him. Not predicting him to be a finalist by any means, but I think AA (hopefully even cracking top 4) is the expectation.
I believe he may be eligible for a med read also

Mai think Bachmann will be 165, so maybe after 2 years he moves up to 174.

If portal season were to end today I would consider this a job well done. Filled two holes with multi year options both of which should/could be high AA’s.

And they seem like very low maintenance guys Crookham has done very well on the academic side of things and the flo guys were raving about the kinda guy he is/means to a practice room its also nice they are not just one year rental guys as well!

Will be interesting to see what weight Joe and Amato level out at. Hope 165 and 157. I know we should be going after high level 2028 recruits who will be big enough to replace Gabe and Angelo.

Say what? Look where the needle started. We just plugged in a kid who will be scoring team points in March.
You can only get what's available. This is where PSU scoring 170 points is warping perspectives. It demands that every acquisition be a top 3 finisher or it's a bad move. Bottom line, Iowa had a huge hole at 165 and they filled it with the best available guy....you have to deal in reality, not what you ideally want it to be.

This. Even look at last year. Peterson was the highest ranked transfer the entire season and finished the 2nd highest behind Volk. Bailey was the highest placing transfer at 141. Williams was the 2nd highest ranked transfer behind Zerban entering the postseason. Endene was the 2nd highest ranked transfer behind Elam before his issue. It’s unfortunate 2 of the guys couldn’t make the finish line, but Iowa got the best class they could for their needs. It was just unfortunate there weren’t better guys to get.
