Probably BYU imo. Supposed to visit there after here and they don’t really have an answer yet at the 4 spot
He is a perfect fit for what we need, people are sleeping on how good a pickup he is.

Depends on how you define “win.” I think Carr, Williams, and getting Robinson to transfer from BYU were huge. Someone really did their homework with Carr and Williams. If other blue bloods did not want those guys, they’re stupid. And Robinson could have played for anyone. Heck, most people on this site were crazy happy when Pope landed Garrison.
I will go further. Most people were thrilled when DA and Mo transferred in last year. I remember some Lowe skeptics, but those two guys were highly thought of. The fact that DA is still wanted by Florida and Pitino wants Mo is further confirmation.

Agreed. I'm legit blown away at the reactions from some people on here about the portal mentions and whatnot. It's like they've forgotten, so quickly, what it takes to be ACTUALLY good. Not finishing 5th-10th in the SEC and getting blown out of the tournament after a win or two, but actually good. Everyone wants to point to Pope's first team, that still lost 12 games, as a reason these chumps from LOW (not even mid) major U can be good. Those dudes on that first team were four year vets that knew how to play. And they still weren't all that good. Top 15-25, but nothing special.
I agree all those were wins. I’d even say getting Butler before anyone else even had a shot is a win. I’m speaking in the context of when Pope is going head to head with the big boys.
I don't think there is anyway this one doesn't stick and the best part it it didn't break the bank. It's a major upgrade from last season.
Only people who are laughing at us, is our own "fans". Looking at past championship teams some of these kids came from nowhere. It's all about how they mesh. It's like dorky kids calling our coach dorky. Look at Golden and Hurley and most head coaches. They won a championship but they dorks. Midget at Louisville is like a wizard of Oz character. Sometimes you lose out on big recruits. We lost out on wright but now we might be able to afford 2 good players for that cost.

My FSU buddy said Rancik has been followed by and started following multiple accounts from FSU. I know Zoom follows him too. Not sure if it means anything at all.

What have you heard on Wilkins, Rancik and freeman?
Freeman visit was good, our offer is easily the best as well. Rancik is all but ours, can't see him not committing this week, Wilkins is priority 1 and I believe its likely we get him and one of Cox, Davis, Brown. We get Rancik and Freeman and Rancik comes off the bench and Freeman plays some 5 with Rancik at the same time as well throughout the season. I like the position we are in and if we happen to miss we have quality upgrades from last year we are still talking with. Roster should be 90% together by the end of the weekend.Any ideas on freeman?
