Whose rankings are these?! I don’t see him being the 8th ranked PG in the portal, but that’s just me.
I’m glad we got a PG1 but this picture was on Twitter and it is truly remarkable.
I said if he can get his 3 point average up..he can see himself a late first rounder. He already has the size that nba likes at pg spot. Nba is about potential and upside as well as consistency. It dont matter if he is mentioned or not especially season hasnt started yet.
Justin Edward's was widely considered top 3 pick before 2023-24 season but went undrafted.

It's not a knock, there are only a handful of "dudes" I'm talking about players that every Kentucky, Duke, Kansas etc. should have that gets the spotlight and makes people feel like "that guy can carry them if needed"
Diallo is no role player. He is a star. He just signed and you are already running him down. What in the world is wrong with some of you ?
There are thousands of players out there still. All you have to do is fit the right pieces. That is why you don't throw all your oranges in just one or two players.
Bidunga was the best player in the portal. The only two-way force of nature available this year. Maybe even the only true "dude," although I'd include Momcilovic on that list. Then it's guys like Graves. Sherrell, Blackwell, and Murauskas in Tier 2. Last year there were more top studs in the portal: Lendeborg, Gillespie, and Baker-Mazara for sure, maybe another or two.

Then all you’ve looked at is transfer-portal rankings then. I implore you to do research before you say **** to say ****.
It's not just based off rankings (which also categorize players by talent)
Agreed, if you watch diallo YouTube highlights, I’m almost positive he has not missed a shot, or committed a turnover in his career.
They *try* to categorize players by talent. It’s not an exact science like you’re pretending. Please tell me why he is just a “role-player.”

Being in the top 4 of the SEC seems beyond CMP’s capabilities right now. At best we can hope he can pull off top 6. That’s just the reality of our situation right now. We’re recruiting to make Friday of the SEC tournament and maybe win a game in the NCAA tournament. Anything beyond that is unrealistic and wishful thinking.

In my opinion, Stokes’ maturity has a lot to be desired, and I’d take Blackwell over him in a millisecond, but Pope is like the guy in the Drama Club who wants to ask out the hottest chicks in the school, but by the time he decides to approach them, they are already being courted by the studs on the football team, so he wimps out and goes for the chicks eating their lunch by themselves.
Diallo is not a “star”, he’s a serviceable PG who put up average serviceable PG numbers on a losing team, which means, when the going gets tough, he’s already accustomed to losing.
I’m not beating the guy down, I’m just keeping it real. If he were a star, say like, I don’t know, Darius Acuff, he wouldn’t be the 9th ranked PG in the portal, he would be drafted 9th in the NBA draft.
Same BS was spewed last portal about J Lowe, and anyone who has watched 40 minutes of CBB in their life knew that guy was a dud, comparatively speaking.
Stokes and Freeman are the obvious top options going forward.
The key here is to now find the kids who "can" be the dude(s). I think Cruz Davis and Wilkins could certainly fit that bill.
His resume is already better than Popes when we hired him ... and he recruits well and has done well in the portal. You are insane.
