Part of the “Feeder alliance”I’ve said this before, but we are just a farm league for the rest of the SEC. It’s so depressing.
This really sux. Kid has a chance to be a player
Jans may be a part but money is the much bigger part. He'll average 20 next year, and be an All-American his Junior year. Kids don't want to play for Jans, it becomes more and more obvious each season.
He’ll have to toughen up. There were a few times he went down with what you’d have thought was a season ending injury, had to be helped off the court. All to be perfectly fine by the next game. I swear you’d have to break my ankle for me to not walk off a basketball court under my own power. He'll average 20 next year, and be an All-American his Junior year. Kids don't want to play for Jans, it becomes more and more obvious each season.

They can go there and be backup role players. Both of them are B grade on their best day everState players leave and go to UCLA and Alabama and incoming guys coming from Kennesaw State.
I want to stay positive but it's really 17ing difficult sometimes.
It’s really hard to be positive about men’s basketball right now. I don’t see one reason.State players leave and go to UCLA and Alabama and incoming guys coming from Kennesaw State.

Yeah, we’re kinda in a rut now where none of our HS kids are worth paying to stick around and develop, but then we’re getting replacements from the portal that aren’t any better.Im not sure why Jans bothers to recruit high school players. I cant remember the last time the croot didn't transfer out after his first year. Except Hubbard. Errbody be leavin
Yeah a guy that’s had 1 losing season as a HC sucksAnd this is why they want us to give money guys! So we can watch our players go to conference rivals!! Great work Jans! It amazes me that people still tote water for Jans. Murph, Nwoko, JDF. This ain’t just about money. It’s clear that he is most of the problem. Guys done want to play for him and his record sucks.
Im not sure we have any idea if they are worth keeping around to develop. But I agree about the replacements. If he was signing some star transfers I could go along. But the junk he signs I would rather throw the kids out there to get some experience. Gonna lose anyway.Yeah, we’re kinda in a rut now where none of our HS kids are worth paying to stick around and develop, but then we’re getting replacements from the portal that aren’t any better.
Once upon a time, I had high hopes for Jans, but I’m not loving his chances to make it past next season right now. This roster is a disaster
Jans may be a part but money is the much bigger part.

Shawn Jones Jr. was the only player in the SEC that got to celebrate Senior day with the school he stayed at for 4 years.Im not sure why Jans bothers to recruit high school players. I cant remember the last time the croot didn't transfer out after his first year. Except Hubbard. Errbody be leavin
I think Oats just sees a tall skinny young 4 star and starts drooling. I don't think he gives a shiit what position he plays or if he ever plays defense, as long as he can run the court. And JDF will never be a perimeter player(he's low post only from what I could see from his skillset and specifically his FT shooting) and that's one thing Oats said they needed more of - low post presence.
Maybe I'm the one who's wrong, but it would be nice for the program's talent level to go up or at least level out the longer a coach is here, not go down.Yeah a guy that’s had 1 losing season as a HC sucks
Jans will get next season. Make the tournament - he will get a couple of more years. If he doesn't - he's gone.Maybe I'm the one who's wrong, but it would be nice for the program's talent level to go up or at least level out the longer a coach is here, not go down.
I do think Jans is a good basketball coach, but he burned through a lot of good will with last years portal class. I know it's early, but its not looking good for next year either. If the program under his watch can't get or retain enough talent to compete, how long does MSU let it ride?
He's going to get paid to play a few minutes and rest the starters when it's a blowout. I'll eat crow if I'm wrong but he'll never be a regular starter thereAnd JDF will never be a perimeter player(he's low post only from what I could see from his skillset and specifically his FT shooting) and that's one thing Oats said they needed more of - low post presence.
Wouldn't hurt my feelingsHe's going to get paid to play a few minutes and rest the starters when it's a blowout. I'll eat crow if I'm wrong but he'll never be a regular starter there
