Those of you that have been around a while know I did not support Tubby Smith, but I never called for him to be fired.
Today, for the first time ever, I am calling for Mark Pope to be fired.

Never should've been hired, should have been fired at the end of a disappointing season with multiple embarrassing blow out loses where he drove his "Ferrari" right off a cliff and had no recruits locked in. So yeah, this is just another reason.
Is it really a whiff? It would be a whiff if Golden, Hurley, Izzo, Cal missed on him. For Pope, this is normal and expected. We need to venture into the mid majors as a beginning point.

You don't fire someone because they can't recruit elite players. You fire them for poor performance that may or may not have something to do with poor recruiting. Is this a serious thread?

As a coach, that is part of your job. If you can not recruit then that means you can not perform your job. So, that is peformance based. YES, fire him yesterday.
Plus, his poor preparation in so many games should have gotten him fired.
