This conjecture isn't healthy. Folks are selling you ******** wrapped in BREAKING NEWS gift wrap and we're so rabid for a scrap of news that we take it and run with it. We know literally nothing until it happens. I had no idea who the Colorado kid was until a random thread popped up and said he was on campus.
I need us to collectively take a chill pill. We choose to riot or not when the dust settles. Hell, the portal is still open, too. Folks are still entering.

This in no way a defense of Pope but I have trouble believing "I won't commit and I had a terrible visit but I also am mad they are recruiting other guards"
No point in getting mad, we just gotta watch and see how this all plays out.
And you can bet your *** that it's being talked about on the recruiting trail. Opposing coaches are no doubt saying "they had a potential signed go back to BYU with a player that Kentucky lost".

We can talk about coaching personality and or JMI contracts until the cows come home. But sometimes kids just want to go to programs that are winning at the highest level, or at least appear to be a program heading upwards. Winning still matters to competitive athletes. And they see a once great program on the decline just like we do. I think that is our biggest issue right now.

Bottom line is Pope and staff can't close these guys for whatever reason. The bad thing about Pope is he can't coach either so bad recruiting and bad coaching is a bad combination and he's not good enough to just "wing it" here....
While Pope was waiting on Wright, Cal flew into Lexington, had an in home visit with Wilkinson, and got him committed. LOL.
