Good luck to him-- And once again we are looking at a completely new roster with the exception of Parker & Williams (and what are the odds of either returning? slim & none)

As someone who also tore my ACL playing basketball at SHU in the rec center, I have a lot of sympathy for anyone who goes through this awful DEBICLE. All the best to him. Praying for his full recovery.

What kind of agent can Yon be and what kind of agency can WeShall Sports Management be if, no offense, you are repping a player who was a back of the bench guy on a 7-25 team before tearing his ACL and missing 95 percent of the next one? With thousands of players in the portal, the amount of people trying to cash in is even more extensive than what we think in our wildest dreams.

I believe that Felton is leaving just to simply try and earn more PT at a lower level.

Easy young man to root for and I hope for the best. Sha loved him and I wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with this decision in the best interest of the player.

Best move for him. He's not a Big East player so by moving down he'll get more PT.

Absolutely a great young man.
Kind of surprising critical comment coming from you. If he was not a BE player then Sha made a big blunder in recruiting him and giving him a scholarship to play at the Hall. And then keeping him around for another season. So that's on Sha if what you say is true.

On the other hand maybe you are mistaken and Sha was right!

I think if he was not injured this past season we could say for certain one way or another if he is a BE player. I would not be critical at this point.

Lots of promising HS kids never pan out. Now they can leave to go play somewhere else and the school can do what coaches wished they could do with these kinds of players for decades.

Here's what I am facing.

When I post positive info for Seton Hall I am called by some a cheerleader or a mouthpiece for the school. When I post as I did with Felton, which by most accounts I am sure is fair and complimentary at the same time, I get criticism from you and others for my opinion.

Bottom line, I am neither extreme and try to be as honest and helpful to the fanbase as I can knowing nothing I do will make everyone happy..

BTW, tomorrow is my last day as a moderator. JD will be fully taking over the reins starting Thursday. I will continue to post at times but not nearly as much as in the past.

Dan, the vast majority of posters appreciate everything you do for the board. There will always be some knuckleheads and Pirate Hoops has a few of those. Hope JD can reign in some of the personal insult nonsense. And keep your insights coming.

Just surprised that YOU of all people would say he is not a BE Player when he was only in his 2nd year at the hall and was injured. Not sure how or why you would say he was not a BE player. His Frosh year he shot 35% from 3 and 77% from the free throw line. 17 minutes a game. Those are not great numbers but I think darn good for a true freshman. He never had a chance to grow this season due to injury.

The game is played on both sides of the court. He is also coming off a major injury. And before that injury his stats were lets say questionable.

If you do not believe what I said about not being a Big East player...watch where he transfers to. And I say that with no inside information.

I agree he’s going down a level or two and should. However, I also think if he started in place of Williams last year he could’ve easily replaced 7/2/2. I think he has talent but agree he should go mid major. Great kid.

He might develop back into a BE player, but with his minimal playing time & lack of production as freshman, plus major injury causing him to miss pretty much this whole season, he is not currently a BE player. Hopefully transfers to somewhere that he gets playing time, builds up his resume and at some point move back up to higher level if he chooses.

I disagree that Felton isn't a Big East player as I think he can be a role player on a good team.

He is not an impact player or 30 MPG guy at this level. Put him in the Big South or the Southern Conference and he could be closer to that 30 minute guy.

The question should be why Parker is still here at least so far? Makes no sense that has not left.

Agreed. If healthy, he could have had a role here for sure. Wouldn't be a starter and probably too slow on defense to stay on the floor but for 10-12 minutes off the bench he would have been serviceable. For his sake though, if he can find a place that can give him 25+ minutes next year he will have a better chance to get a decent amount of money after next season.

Take Gus the Bus who is a starter for Vermont and had a great season too. Vermont just missed getting to the dance but just about every year they are in the hunt to go and so Gus has a much better chance to get to the dance by leaving than if he stayed at SHU. Kids that come here have to realize that going to the dance is a very remote possibility given the NIL resources and the BE competition. Unless they don't care and that might not really be a good thing.
