I'll split the difference and say we go 2-1 this weekend. That's definitely hedging though because I sure as **** think we need a sweep to get back on the desired trajectory.

I can't bring myself to make a prediction so I'll just say this. If we can win three we are back in hosting discussion. Win two and hosting is still possible. Win just one chance of hosting is near zero. If swept hosting chance is gone and missing post season entirely is probable. Lastly, I can't believe I'm saying this just a little more than two weeks after posting consecutive SEC sweeps and starting 7-2.

I think we'll win 2 but manage to find a way to **** and fall back in it in one game to keep us from sweeping.

Columbiadawg2 I agree with you. I thought we were in real trouble after the TN sweep. I would like to see something that would make me a little more optimistic.

Pissed that we lost the series. Pissed that we won the series after completely $hi++ing the bed at home times two. Either way, pissed.

Our coaches need to have us BUNTING a LOT now. Not only to move runners up but also bunting for hits. Some folks want to say bunting is hard as batters don’t do it much. Well, guess what, fielders don’t field bunts often either and have been known to throw balls wide at 1st which turns bunts into doubles at times. We appear to be swinging for the fence too much at times now.

Mickey Mantle, one of the greatest power hitters ever, used to bunt occasionally when he’d GET IN a slump. He had 80+\- bunt hits in his career. Get his book and read about it.

Some folks think bunting is p***y ball. Well, that’s 100% non sense! It’s great fundamental ball at times. Go ask the team who played at Auburn 2-3 yrs ago and knocked Burn out of the tourney about bunting. I can’t remember the team but they bunted 3 times IN A ROW, Burn didn’t recorded a single out on any and that helped the team win. Bunting works a lot.

If our coaches don’t see the need to bunt some now they never will.

I have no idea.

SC has lost a lot, but played a lot of good teams close. Our bats better 17'n wake up.

I think we take two games. I’m going to lean on the fact that all of our losses are to teams I would at least call good, and I don’t see SC as a good team. I think there’s an opportunity to sweep if we play well all three games.

I agree with this. Especially when struggling with strikeouts. Sometimes you just need to see the ball put in play off of your bat. I also think we need to try and manufacture a run or two early. Get a man on first and bunt him over.

I think we get 2 but could easily drop the series. USC is playing better. We need to score first and put up crooked numbers
