I absolutely think she feels like she’s damaged goods, and I think she resigned for that reason for one and for two she’s trying to save face with her husband I think… cut ties to the reason why the affair “rumors” are even there.Fair points, and I appreciate the discussion and that we are keeping it civil.
I would challenge the thought that we don’t care who writes an article. Think about during NIL and portal times when rumors are swirling about who is going to what team. There are credible sources and there are terrible sources. Cred matters.
And while I agree that she may come across as having more credibility because she has an “in” I don’t think that’s the type of credibility she or her employer wants to have. It is usually tagged as “ well good morningsleeping your way to the top.”
Most journalists live for breaking the big story or getting the inside scoop. I just think that she knows she is tainted goods, and if she ever gets the big scoop, people will accuse her of sleeping her way to the story, instead of giving her credit for being a good journalist.
I have no clue weather she did it or not, but in that line of work it’s more probable than not.
I can say that yes there’s always sources that are more reliable than others when it comes to certain things like trade rumors, free agent signings or Rother things along that line, and if you’re working as a sports reporter and your job is to get that info then I’d say you’ve already reached the pinnacle for your field, every trade you break before it happens or even ever trade rumor you break is the “big one”.
i understand who writes the article can matter for certain things like that, and i understand tha i may see things a little different but I tend to still think how you got that info doesn’t matter that much, just matters if it’s correct. I wouldn’t judge male reporters for befriending or using whatever means they had to to get that reliable source, so I won’t judge a woman for using whatever means ever she needs to to get it… I don’t like that if she did do it that she was married, but I don’t I inherently question how the reporter got the information either.
I agree with whoever said that what they did was none of our business, if this is two consenting adults then it shouldn’t matter to us. Again no they shouldn’t be cheating on their spouses, but the reality of it is that’s the world we live in unfortunately, every day people cheat on their spouses for little to no reason and it’s not always aired out there like that. It doesn’t make it right, but who I am to judge them for their choices? I can not agree with it and I don’t, but it doesn’t make it any less credible because what they did goes against my morals.
