California is the fourth largest economy in the world by GDP and they, by far, pay more to the federal government in taxes than they receive. They pay $276B more than they receive. The next highest gap is New York at $76 billion
Imagine what they could do if they cut out the fraud!

A major part of that debt is UNFUNDED PENSION FUNDS. 3/4 of a TRILLION DOLLARS. The state is over 1.3 TRILLION in debt as well. It's 34% of GDP.
