Maybe he and his wife really wanted to go home. URI did make a major push to try and keep Hurley. Offered over 2M salary more money for assistants and build a practice facility although that was years ago pre NIL. And a lot of Hurley's compensation was going to be paid by the URI athletic foundation though. AD salary seems in li e with similar non P4
